Why are private galleries restricting pic access to friends and subscribers allowed? Surely the purpose should be to share as much as possible. Thankfully the restriction seems not to apply to vid viewings.

people use to have private sets of pictures. i guess it was in the profile settings. you had to be a friend or subscriber. i'm not sure if that is true now.

The "private" albums are old ones that Nick has reviewed and reposted as part of the current under-18 hunt (you can't tell the difference between old and new albums because the old ones get a new time stamp). The private option went away over a year ago, so no one can post a private album now. In general, the content on the private ones is not any different from the regular ones. Back when the private option was available, it was the main reason to be on someone's friends list.

it is probably to get people to be your friend. i'm not wild about it but i have made friends to see what they had.
