what would you do?

a close friend asks-and genuinely wants-your oppinion about something, but your oppinion is one that he is likely to find quite painful. for example, your friend is an artist and asks your honest estimate of his chances of being successful. you think he is an attrocious artist and who hasn't the slightest chance of success.what would you do?

the guy is a close friend for a reason....you both have had the time and opportunity to bond and form that close friendship....tell the truth out of respect and honour for that close friendship

A subtle hint like a "Painting by numbers" set on his birtday should do the trick!

I would ask him if he "wants my hoonezt opinion....."
If he sez yes, b honest but NOT hurtful. It is th kindest thing 2 do, and u did give him th option 2 rescend his question.

art is so very subjective, I look at what some people like and think it is nothing and would never put it on a wall in my house, I would share with him that he should follow his dream, develop his style and see what happens, you don't have to be a fan of his style either

i would tell him the truth in the nicest way. if he didn't want the truth, he wouldn't ask.
