im not in this position but:
in your opinion would an 18 y.o. boy still in high school dating a 16 y.o. boy be acceptable?

also, anyone else think 2 younger boys kissing in public and in love is a sight that is way more special and more love filled than a straight cupples love? and a sight not seen enough?
im bi and i feel like the love between 2 guys is way more likely to be more special than with a boy and girl... what do you think?

2 years is nothing.. seriously... 21+ and 16 maybe could be looked at differently but 18 and 16... No dramas... if the year old complains to the court about an 18 year old i mean really? come on

It really doesn't matter what you or anybody here thinks. It only matters what law enforcement thinks.If one of you is underage, the older will be held entirely responsible. If you want to go to jail and be considered a sex offender for the rest of your life, go for it!

I know it's not fair, right, love is love and all that. But convincing a 16 year old's parents and a prosecutor is another matter.

My nephew can tell you his story, in 2018; when he gets out.

This is a question that people will debate forever because maturity/adulthood/consent, etc are all pretty grey and most Americans like rules/laws that are black & white. Is it OK? if the 2 people are close in maturity and in love, then sure! If they 16 yr old really has the mentality of a child and the 18 yr old is taking advantage, then no! it's really situational and a black & white rule is hard. I'm so glad I'm not a parent and don't have to worry about this stuff. My parents never bothered with my bro and me about this stuff, but they were all over my sister - I think it's a double standard based on the sex of the child really.
I am also bi and have had a loving relationship in the last year with a great girl and now a great guy. I don't think either was more special - LOVE is LOVE! I would like to see it be more common for guys to kiss and show affection in public, I want that for all of us because love is love.
If you are in this age issue situation, then you should know the law where you live (look it up, don't trust us guys on a porn site) and decide how you want to handle it. If you have to be public, then know that you could get in trouble. If you can lay low, then wait until you're both legal and then go be super public about it. I do like that age plus 7 rule, that seems to work!

Yes, but i wouldbe really careful doing anything sexual, in that regard you should probably wait but as for just dating him go for it your only two years apart.

The half your age plus seven rule. Of course you need to factor in what is legal. if you halve your years then add seven, you'll have the youngest decent age for a partner; if you double your years then subtract seven, you'll have the oldest decent age for a partner". So for this example the answer for the 18 year old is 16. And would be legal. Of course for the 16 year old the oldest he should go is 25, which might be a stretch....on a serious note it seems absolutely appropriate to me. And legalities only enter the question if there is sex. The question was about dating, not fucking. And yes...kiss away, just make sure you are in a safe place.

2-4 years apart is not bad if they are both over 16. states vary on the age of consent being 16 or 18.i'm fine with guys showing public displays of affection. of course i live on a major college campus where anything is acceptable.

People where I'm from might look at you funny, but I guarantee you they'd all be older than the people involved. I'd say plenty of seniors in my highschool were hooking up with younger girls at parties. I mean it's a small town, and kids like to fool around! As for age of consent laws, I think several people here are confused, due to the varying degrees of their stated facts; there are a great many books written about the damage done in the US by the sex offender registry program and it's effects on youth convicted of statutory rape. Glad to see open opinions here, was afraid I was walking into a mine field! To answer the OP's question....I think it's totally fine for an 18yo to hook up with a 16yo, regardless of orientation. I mean who would want to fuck a girl, let alone an annoying 16yo girl, but a 16yo boy who wants it? Count me in!

acceptable to who? to gays probably yes, to the homophobes, likely no. I say again, be you, explore have fun, just make sure you understand age of consent laws where you live. What you do in the bedroom is nobodies business.

I dont know what states you live in, but the age of consent for male or female is 18. You might look for it on google, I would hate for someone to get the wrong advise.

In many states here in the U.S. the age of consent is 16. So on the legal level, that would be okay. Now, as for being acceptable it probably would not be seen as this in many people's eyes(especially the gay bashers) just for the fact that one is 18 .
Yes, I find it more special to see two boys kiss than a straight couple simply for the fact that, like you said, it's rare. You can go anywhere and see a straight couple kiss or hold hands. But to see a gay couple(more so guys) kiss or hold hands, i think it's awesome. Now just so nobody misunderstands me, what i mean by that is i have seen more lesbian couples holding hands, kiss etc. I DO think it is equally awesome.

I like boys as young as 16 AND don't give a flying fuck about who cares!! there I said it. Maybe even younger depending on bulge size.

Well here in the UK the age of consent is 16, so its perfectly fine/legal (and i take no issue with it, to me its more than acceptable). And i see no problem with ppl kissing in public whether its MM or MF. Its love all the same. One's not greater than the other.

Would love to see them kiss. Yes it is more special.

The laws here are so not for equal rights.
