Right, The age of consent in the UK is 16. The age for porn on the internet is 18. But is it illegal to talk to somone on the internet who is 17. I'm not here to get in that kind of situation where i could get in trouble, i just want to talk to people of similar age to me. Its probably best just to avoid the situation really isn't it?? It does scare me a bit when someone has that they are 18 on their profile and then they say they are 17, it feels like a trap almost. (Paranoid much?)

I doubt any of you are lawyers but maybe someone will know a bit more than i do :)

don't be so quick to assume that there are no attorneys present. Oh that's right, there is no such thing as gay attorneys.

If you go to worldwide ages of consent web page, it gives you a list of places that is legal and illegal. you should not worry about talking to anyone under 18 unless you talk about sexual things then it can be illegal as they will class it as grooming, so feel free to talk but don't include sexual things. I hope that this helps you a bit

So I think that yes you absolutely can not help it if anyone is to look younger than he is. If anyone thinks he is at least 18, although in reality he is under 18, then you would have no guilt and stress because you do not even know it can! But then again I do not think it is illegal here to chat with minors. At Yahoo, Facebook, etc. It is indeed allowed ;-) Otherwise I would have a problem: D

Haha, i ignore the "questionable" material on here, so i'm not scared about coming on here.
I think IF anything did happen they would want the people who posted it but ya.

So from what your saying if i'm interpreting it right then you could still get in trouble by just engaging in conversation with someone who 17 if anything sexual is discussed? i tried to look it up aswell before, purely so i can be 100% certain of the boundaries and rules but its a pretty grey area...

I know the feeling man >_< I did some digging and... If there is probable cause and intent to actively viewing (and/or) distributing significant amounts of CSA (child sexual abuse - anything pornographic is considered CSA) images or video, whether it be bellow the age of consent, at the age of consent, or bellow 18. Then I would personally get a bit freaked out. However, there is a big however. At the end of the day it is the ISP's responsibility to monitor directly what you do and what images you are downloading and IP's you are visiting off your mac address and router. If you're worried. Don't come onto gayboystube that often? It IS full of doggy material. Fact. I imagine a large amount of the creepy fuckers on here tunnel through a VPN. But yeh. /rantover/
