everyone no doubt agrees that there is no place for racism here or anywhere else but Mike's comment was not an example.

There are many Brits of a younger generation, forgetful of their crucial role in defeating fascism in 1939-45), who routinely criticise our American friends in what Danny would no doubt call racist terms...yet no one complains.
In your case 'mike1946' made the mistake of using no.3 in an introduction. He's not racist: If anything he's just a little socially unaware. If he really was born in 1946 then I'd be more lenient on him still. Hell - even if he was 18 I'd not care if someone took the piss out of my race/nationality - I'd just do it right back. And many great friendships have been made that way - by taking the piss out of each other.
