Shaving cream lubricates your skin 101

Shaving with cream or gel products also helps to minimize razor burn and those annoying red bumps that show up after a close shave.

Various regions your body require specialized care when it comes to shaving, the use of shaving cream will make the entire process much smoother. Skin is easily irritated when contacted by sharp objects such as razors, so a soothing gel or cream keeps skin moist and free from harsh friction of the blade across the skin's susceptible surface.
In addition to keeping skin lubricated, shaving cream - if left to soak in for a good 2 minutes will softens the hair prior to contact with the razorblade. Furthermore, shaving cream will force most if not all of the hairs to lift and straighten, allowing a cleaner, closer shave. By using shaving cream regularly, fewer hairs will remain flat against the skin, resulting in smooth and hair free skin.

Shaving cream, shaving gel, lotion, and body oil or hair conditioner may be used to assist one in shaving. Regardless of the type of product selected, some sort of lubricant will help prevent razor burn, cuts and nicks and unnecessary dryness. Razor burn, or those annoying little red bumps that arrive shortly after shaving, can become painful when exposed to chlorinated pool water or beach conditions.

Aiding in lubrication, softening and precision, shaving cream is a great product to use when one desires a close, clean shave. Leaving legs or skin soft, smooth and hair free, shaving cream allows the razorblade to glide effortlessly across the skin without cutting or damaging the skin in the process. Following a close shave, rinse remaining shaving cream from body and apply a lotion or cream that is free from both fragrance and color to restore moisture and replenish any skin that has been irritated by contact with the razor.

The main ingredient in today’s highly commercialized hair removal creams are highly alkaline chemicals (battery acid) that literally dissolves the protein structure of the hair thus making it easy to wipe or scrub it off the treated area. It is the high ph level in all these related chemicals that enables them to dissolve hair. Be aware that they can also have a negative effect on skin, which is why many of the additional ingredients in depilatory products are there to sooth the skin during and after the hair removal process.

Hmmm---whats up mate, I did this as well. Its's not really the red spots I think it's the itching when the shaved off hairs start growing. When the shaved hairs grow back you can feel the result. But look, why shave your hairs off ??? If you are good looking then keep hold of your hair caus its a part of your beauty, I'd love to see your face and your mimik, these are all your personal belongings just the way you where created.

and in my crack. i use a shaver with shaving cream on my balls, be carefull with using the removal cream coz it can burn you if you leave it on too long. and NEVER SHAVE WITHOUT SHAVING CREAM!! if you still have the bumps they are most likely ingrown hairs. you need to scrub the area to remove the thin skin thats stopping them from growing out. i have an exfoliating glove that i use. i also have a solution called 'in grow go' which works a treat!! but it can sting a little. just a note its really embarrissing then your mum finds it and asks why you have it!! lol

Hey there, I had that problem also ;) So don't worry!

Use lukewarm water after you shaved,
and gently dry it with a soft towel after it!

Or next time: Try not to shave the same spot over and over again.

Let me know, X
