Im curious about if guys like other guys who are like them or different from them? I just mean about physical looks here. I mostly look at guys who are pretty much totally different than me, like tall and muscular and maybe a little hairy (hairy chest = mmmm!) and a little older. So im wondering, do most guys like other guys that are like them or different?

Yeah opposites attract - I like 80 year old, fat, ugly, non smoking, non drinking, rich black guys with no sence of humour, no interst in music or movies who live in Spain (the exact opposite side of the world from wher i live)

Wow, missed this post. I like kinda the exact opposite in some things. I am a total bottom, completely smooth, shy and wimpy. Mostly guys like me: around my age, nice body but not really muscular, although that can be hot, too; gotta make me laugh, too. We move around a lot so it's hard to make "real" friends.

I prefer some one different than me. I am a big muscle kind of guy. biker type. But I like smaller men not so muscular. There is no new adventure in learning about your guy if he is just like you. To me half of loving someone is learning how different they are from you. If you are looking for someone just like you. Stay home and jerk off in the mirror....lol

hi scotty well too answer your question most of my past lovers have always been different from me , shorter outgoing personality , and i am always attracted too guys that have different personality, i dont want too date myself , soo this is true and i find guys that date and like the same stuff act the same way usually dont last .. my opinion ,

To me its humor, I like a personality that makes me laugh. Ofcourse it doesnt hurt if he is not bad on the eyes either. I dont care if he is Paul Blart Mall Cop or Dean Winchester if he has a fire in bed and and laughter out of it I am hooked.

I prefer a very emotional relationship and can't cope with someone who ist not empathetic (is that the word?), romantic as I am. But I need s.o. open minded, selfconcious as I am which - funnily enough - never find in older guys but in "boys" up to 24 (there are very few exwptions, though). These "boys" in return don't like me - pity - lord knows why. So, maybe Scotty' right and I am simply not different enough.

Scotty...it is hard to separate the physical from the personality and emotion. I am as different from you as you from me physically...and I think you are a doll....but I am with both the Johnny's on this...I care more about what makes the person who they are than how they look...clearly I like young handsome men....which is the opposite of me...and when it comes to their personality...I want someone I can learn and be challenged by...I can talk to myself and agree with myself...but that doesn't stimulate me the way someone different than me does...and I do like to be stimulated...Thomas

Well, for me I believe I look at it this way. I always pretend that if I were blind, I wanna know that the person I am near is kind and thoughtful and there for me. Because even though I can see, beaty only lasts so long, and when looks fade and you only have the personality left. And welp, if you dont have one and you only depended on looks, that your fucked lol. So to answer you question I like a variety. I like someone who is kinda like me and kinda not. Cause mix that together and you have an interesting ride

Socializing with them pushed me to try things I'd never had tried on my own, and made my life more interesting. I have realized that the worst thing you can do, is to surround yourself with people who are like you .. you'll never grow as a human being !! Embrace difference !!

Yes I would like someone that is different then me. To me looks don't matter I am cool with a short fat hairy guy or a tall skinny hairless guy. It is not about looks but personality . However in personality i would rather someone who has similar interests since it can cause easier agreement on doing things but also if someone has different interests can open up new possibilities and learn things you never tried and might like.

i have always looked at young guys. my age or younger til i got into 40's then younger. i was not very good at gay relationships. i never had a lover. i think intimacy with a guy was a weakness. in 2002 or so i decided my sex life was over.(56) i haven't regretted it a bit.

hi Scotty. I like younger guys (you know that already) but why? because I regard the younger male body like a beautiful painting - it is to be admired and appreciated. some guys like their own age bracket, lots love younger and some (only a few) like older. I guess it comes down to what ever "floats your boat" The world would be a very boring place if we were all the same. I say enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. Gay people are the "beautiful people" and that's all that matters.
