Sorry been out for a while, been doing repairs on the old homestead. Got the barn roof back in place. The electrical contractor will be out today to put the new weatherhead on. Well and pump back on, nice to have running water again. Got me a nice new computer out of the deal a 2 tb memory so got lots of room. Somes to go really fast now. Lost my horse though, she was so scared she fell into a revine and guess couldnt get out or got knocked out and the coyotes got her. Had her for almost 14 years. Life goes on, thats natures way.Anyway I'll be around more often now. Whats been going on?

Wouldnt that have been funny Tommy, I retired from SDC several years ago but still sell my carvings and woodworkings on consignment there. Funny you should call it Steal Your Dollar City, I have heard many people call it that now that admission tops $50

I went there when I was in MO. Lots of fun! There is a cool cave underneath the theme park. Hey Jed, what area do you work in I might have seen you? Wouldnt that have been cool we might actually have met? I took pictures, did the real tourist thing. I loved the lumberjacks and the Blacksmiths.

Around here we jokingly call it steal your dollar city because as with all theme parks like the Six Flags parks or Disney everything is really expensive

Yes Silver Dollar City, Its a theme park Craft park that actually was made famous when several episodes of the Beverly Hillbillies were shot there back in the 60s.

I didnt find oul Kiwi, that was the TV show. I just live in the Ozarks. Where Jed Supposedly came from. I am a woodcarver by trade. I used to work at Silver Dolar City. You can look it up. There are a lot of Artisans and Craftsman there. People like myself that have dying trades, Blacksmiths, Glassblowers, Candymakers etc. Its a themepark now but when I started back 20 years ago it was mainly a Craft Village set back in the 1800s. Starting next thursday it will be my busy season, between Nov 1 and December 31 I will earn most of my Yearly income. I spend the rest of the year making my carvings, my shelves hand made rocking chairs, woodland animals etc. Branson will have about 275,000 visitors during the christmas season and I usually sell out.

I love your sort of lifestyle Jed, Not full of noise like a city and you probably have lots of Animals to keep you company. And as you said the trees are nice ,this time of year.
I hope none of the dogs are near there last legs because its hard when they pass away.
Have you found any Black Gold....Texas Tea, in them there parts.
I bet youd keep that one quiet,If you did lol. ;-))

I also have a horse named Bullwinkle, hes too fat and lazy to jump the fence, just bought him at the auction last month

My horses name was Ginger, my wife named her that because she was the color of gingerbread. The Llamas are fine, instorms they tens to just hunker down and ride them out Ginger woundnt go into the barn ( in this cast that was good) but she just jumped the fence and took off. The terrain around here has lots of gullies and hills rocks and things I suspect she tripped and tumbled down a hill. She was wedged pretty bad in the spot. She might have died on impact and the coyotes just took advantage of a free meal. Anyway, I burnt her yesterday where she died. She is at peace.
