I guess I have never seen people in the true spirit of Christmas! I went to work today at 5:00am at the Home Depot here in Chicago. There were people lined up outside the door. I didnt think we had that many amazing things on sale. some power tool and shit. When the doors opened I thought they were going to eat each other! It was like a mob of girls at a Beber concert and he was in underpants running in the crowd! I'm exhausted but it was fun, the store bought food for us all and we kinda made a big party of it. I'd like to hear of anyone elses experiences today.

I did the 5 am shopping bit, I actually took my camera and got some very funny pictures of people arguing and fighting over video games and shit. It was most hilarious. Had a fun time and got some good deal for my staff and friends. My Medical assistant's son has been wanting a new smart phone and best buy had a great deal so I bought him one. I am kind of the adopted uncle. Several of the cafe's in town were open early so I treated myself to a fine home style breakfast and then went home

Luckily we don't have a Black Friday type of annual event up here in Canada, but we did try a watered
down version yesterday to keep Canadian shoppers from crossing into the USA. Wasn't apparently all that busy ... but I'd never venture into a Mall or store during one. Hate that push-and-shove mob rules kind of atmosphere. I'd rather pay more to avoid large, aggressive crowds.

I was a coward. I stayed home and avoided the crowds. Just watched the shopping riots at Wal Mar over cell phones...and the screaming girls trying to break into Victoria's Secret for thongs....yechhh...girl teens in thongs.....and gave myself solace with the Scotch bottle....it was a good day...hehe
