Great post. Now I am Australian and grew up in Kep Enderbys time and your quote is so typical of some his pronouncements. Now I grew up when he was in Parliament and he was greatly admired by all sides as a politician and a man. He was a minister of the Crown and was appointed a High Court Judge when he retired from politics so he was no fool but had the habit of having his mouth on the accelerator while his brain was in neutral. But he was muched loved for this - it was a source of good heartened amusement by all. Another qote was " I firmly believe we have too few women in Parliament, patricularly of the opposite sex".
