I was a DJ when I was a young boy, 15-17 years old. 14-16 years ago. As a hobby first. I get used to know old, traditional disco hits from beginning at the same time with brand new songs. Old ones like Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor, Lipps Inc.,Kool and the Gang,Eath,Wind

Ditto hardtop, davey1965, mike1946, usmike, queer4, brainold. One of the best times of my life dancing shoulder to shoulder on a huge floor on the Broadway St. disco in San Francisco and always a friendly offer or two or off to Rich St. instead for certain fun. Then off to L.A. for the dancing at the Factory in West Hollywood. Nothing like it since.

Happy memories. the clubs belting out Donna Summer, Boney M Bee Gees. You could hardly find rooms on the dance hall. And all the gorgeous young guys shaking it all about.

I was NEVER into Country Davey1965. The Country fad that replaced Disco was even lamer.

The best part for me were the disco gay bars...glitter ball spinning lights around the room, strobe flashing, Donna Summer singing "Workin Hard For The Money' pounding out of the speakers so loud it picked you up and carried you across the dance floor...and best of all the hot boys dancing their asses off, shirtless, everyone bumping, it was the best part of the eighties, pre AIDS loose.

If disco didn't have the courtesy of dying when it did, it should have been taken out and shot.

I loved Disco and no matter what people say,It was a great time to live it up and enjoy dancing until the sun came up. even today ,if you put a disco song on in a nite club the whole dance floor will be packed. Its because people remember the words of the whole song. How many songs these days can you remember all the words to...
