does a piece of music make you remember things like a first kiss,or when you met someone,or when you fell in love, or do you agree when you become friends, or hang out with them you start to enjoy what they listen to and vice versa

Oh yes, I relate...there were some Led Zepplin I used to crank, they seemed to have given me courage to ask a certain girl out (what a waste of time she was). I can't hear those tunes now without thinking of that time. This is playing out again right now, where there is a song that is playing that I like because its lyrics are how I feel about someone new. I know in a couple of years when i hear it, it will remind me of him. And who knows, maybe how much he was a waste of time too lol

Yes a piece of music can often remind you of things like that; an odour can have the same effect.

The song '1979' by Smashing Pumpkins has a great many memories for me. When it first came out in early '96 it was always playing at the local sauna - so I associate it with having sex with 3 or 4 guys a night for several weeks. Perhaps I should say no more haha

For me it’s "Hotel California"... I was 17 and that summer in 1977 I was working far away from my hometown and my friends. Everytime I hear this song it always reminds me of that lonely period in my life.

Actually yeah. I always listened to older music. We lived in government housing because we had no goddman money! But during that time I was always listening to the "Highway 61 Revisited" album. and if i hear those songs now it takes me back. It's weird.
