Thanks Nick. Think I need to redo my old animated gifs. Don't work on the site now. But at least the cropping is better on the one I can use.

@Nick18 Oh Nick, I truly love you most of all.

This blog has become not about me anymore! NOOOO!

@Nick, why do you think I totally immerse myself in all things UK? The humor is so witty and droll that I am just potty about it! I think you'd agree that I now have a pretty decent handle on GB slang & humor. Maybe not as good as you for example, but a "little" better than the average Yank cretin. Love that word; got it from Steely, who else?! lol ;)

Oh! please do not misunderstand me or my comments - I have no opinion on politics outside of my own country - I was meaning "culturally", in the sense that NZ and Australia were mini-Britains for 150 years, and I think America missed out on that, you fellows created your own culture whereas you would have been better off with the British culture (you would understand British humour, for instance, by now).

@Nick, How right you are, mate! Our government right now is so totally F---ed Up beyond all repair (in WW2 the code was FUBAR) to refer to the workings of the military) (another one was SNAFU), that even the bedraggled Brits are snickering at us behind our back. I mean what does it say about our priorities when our economy is in the "crapper" and we are putting our efforts into bugging the Chancellor of Germany?! Let's face it, Ms. Merkel isn't exactly Herr Hitler is she? Is she going to bomb Miami and start WW3?! The little countries of the world like NZ are lucky, because you don't have to carry the world around on your shoulders. You can keep your money at home where it will do some good helping your own people. We ship billions of $ overseas to countries who hate our guts. They take our money and then spit in our eye. I know what you would do: "nuke 'em back to the stone age", right?! NickBlack for King! Hip-Hip-Hooray! lol ;)

Haha - very funny; yes you had told me that story about the drunkenness. I personally think America made a mistake, think you would have been much better off remaining as a British colony, like New Zealand and Australia, with the Queen as head of State - (and I do realise I am the only person in the World who thinks that)

Yeah, but when he took a whizz it was blue! How can you not like a King who pisses blue? Well we are known as the red white and blue! Winston Churchill said: "The trouble with you Yanks is you want everybody to like you. When we were in charge we knew it wasn't a popularity contest". Good old Winnie! Have you heard the one about what he told a lady at a party when he offended her? The lady said you sir are drunk. Winnie shot back: "And you madam are ugly. However, in the morning I shall be sober"! Rule Sir Winston! Ta Ta old sod....

LOL@jonpitko - actually the war of Independence was not all it appears; it was a case of America saying to the King "daddy, I don't need you anymore, I am grown up and want to make my own way". After a bit of violence the King agreed - and to help out he sold you lots of his slaves so you could have cheap labour for your export industries. Gee, what a benevolent guy!

@Nick, I admit the term spanner has more style and class. But we "colonials" are all just boors. It's no more than we deserve for having the effrontery to tell Mad King George III to "piss off" back in the 18th century. But we know better know and secretly wished Britannia still ruled the bounty and the main! We tried to partly atone by making Sir Winston Churchill an honorary US citizen in 1964. Ah, if only we could have convinced him to become our President for life! Or maybe PM? Well you get the idea, luv. lol ;)

@jon - never heard that term before; 'monkeywrench'? haha! you Americans are crazy!

Wow... Jonpitko... indeed sure does look like paradise to me. My dream has been to live somewhere quiet and peaceful away from stress! lol. Anyhow, back to the topic. I changed my avatar tonite and all seems fine so far thank goodness :)

For those of you not familiar with NZ or GB slang, a "spanner" is what we Yanks call a "monkeywrench"! Good on ya, Nick! lol ;)

I am sure there is an industry standard amongst "computer experts" of getting the contract, doing just enough work to ensure they can't sack you and then throwing spanners in the works to fuck up the website so you can keep adding and adding and adding to your hourly rate! lol
Unless I am very much mistaken none of these 'problems' ever had to occur - they were just done by the bloke getting an hourly rate; why be paid for 4 hours when you can be paid for 404?

My avatar is where I live: Paradise! Will never need to change it! We are going to legalize gay marriage in Hawaii. So all you bois know where to come to tie the knot w/ your bf, then honeymoon here! lol ;)

I just changed my avatar/profile pic today, and it works fine.
Not sure if some other members perhaps had their profile pics
corrupted (damaged) during the server upgrades ? What I *can*
tell you is that the image no longer has to strictly be 100x120
pixels in size. Now, you can upload a slightly larger pic and
the GBT server will accept it. I did notice, though, that if
you upload a large image, the server crops out some of the image
and the edges are lost. Try uploading only JPEG images ...
those seem to work fine. Don't know about .GIF or other formats.

Hope this info helps !
