<p>My freind who I guess is bi,reconnected with me over the last few months and I told him about this site. He tried to join up and has been busting my balls that he hasnt gotten the follow up email or whatever. He's really becoming bitchy so what do I tell him MODS?</p>

Since the upgrade about 2 months ago, the site has been generally screwed up. One of those problems is the new account process. When you create a new account, the site is supposed to send an email to the email address you gave it containing a link that activates the account so you can then use the account. Since the upgrade, the site has only been sending these emails to Google gmail addresses, but it will not send them any other type of email address (I keep thinking it is some sort of evil Google plot). It appears this still has not been fixed. Your only option for now is to create a gmail address, go through the new account setup again with a different user name, and receive the verification email on your new gmail address. Note that the email usually goes to the gmail spam folder (cleverly hidden under the "more" tab on the left side of the gmail page).

Tell EVERYONE to set up account with a G-mail address. SUCKS but it's the way it is for NOW!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

a brit friend of mine told me the same thing this week. he's tried 3 times, doesn't get a confirmation email and can't sign in.
