Acheron, I said that I did not accept that foreigner has a pejorative implication and I don't think his original blog deserves any criticism... I am a lawyer so perhaps I care too much about the accurate use of vocabulary. Of course if you are in your native country and someone mistakenly calls you a foreigner you may be upset by his mistake but not because the word itself has a bad connotation.

when I am in Asia or Philippines I am a foreigner no? and while there I do like Asians... what is the hassle about the term? I'm not offended being called a foreigner. don't think it was meant as a racist title.

The fact that English may not be his first language is exactly why I'm not stomping around being offended. I agree with you. But some others here may not see it that way and why I suggested he change the wording. Foreigner, like you say, has a bad connotation. I would be offended if someone in the country of my birth called me a "foreigner" simply based on my skin colour, which is what this blog suggests... that you're a "foreigner" if you're non-Asian.

It is obvious that English is not his native language so it is quite
wrong to expect him to appreciate that "foreigner" might have some negative overtones, if indeed it has which I do not accept..it is a simple statement of fact... referring to people who are not native of your own country. I am a Brit and when I am in France I am a foreigner in their country nothing wrong with that

oh I know what you're getting at. You're talking preference, which is not racist. This is different. Those who I don't prefer I don't call them "foreigners", in his case meaning all non-Asians, including white, black, etc. I think he should use a better wording. If he asked why do non-Asians prefer Asians, nothing wrong with that. To be called a foreigner implies "you don't belong". I'm sure he doesn't mean it that way, its just a poor choice of words

He just means anyone who isn't Asian themselves ..nothing racist
about that...anyway Asians have such smooth hairless skin and are generally so cute and young looking ...wish I knew some! There are some great Asian boy vids here.

ah, that kind of "different". Suggest you reword your blog. Some may not take kindly to be called "foreigners" when you're really implying something else, such as racial overtones that some may take as "racism".

I have to confess I adore Asian guys. been with a few and love their slim smooth bodies and skin tone !
