actually they're not socialists. Gaddaffi took over in a military coup and didn't go socialist, he was a military dictatorship. Russia is a hybrid political system, it abandoned socialism in 1991. Just because Gaddaffi was a dictator and Putin acts like one doesn't make them a socialist. Karl Marx did not believe in dictatorship. He believed government should be a collective body, it was Stalin that warped his govt into a dictatorship. Socialist does not equal dictatorship. Don't know what your deal is with socialists, that went out with the Cold War over 20 years ago.

He should change his name to Cretin. A long time officer in the KGB, he knows well how to exploit children for espionage and political purposes. You may not be off the mark there, Andy. States usually have issues like this to divert attention from problems at home. North Korea was the latest. With all that posturing and threats, it was to cover the turmoil in government. Kim Jung-un just executed his uncle for creating factionalism and is now willing to approach South Korea to normalize things again. I think that whole thing was a power struggle from within. I think whoever is pushing Kim's buttons found his uncle to be threat to their power, and convinced Kim of this. Kim doesn't seem to be able to think for himself, evident since he took power. Now that unc's gone, things are "normal" again. Putin could be using the same tactic in diverting attention from whatever's going on inside Russia.

saw a pic on CNN of Putin in a crowd goes to say hello to a little boy about 9 or 10.. instead of shaking his hand, he lifts the front of the boys shirt and kisses his abdomen WTF? The Olympics are not selling tickets well... many are boycotting because of his stand on homosexuals and also terrorism. it will be Putin's failure and legacy. the laughing stock of the world.

My personal 'RESEARCH' could be revealing in the very near future. He has been using gays and other social issues to 'hide' BIG issues. His house of cards may soon fall. The geography of the Olympic venue has been a moral and sectarian battle ground for the Russians for over 200 years. What genocide is REALLY happening in the name of World Peace.......Is the Winter 2014 Olympics going to be reflective of the Nuremburg Olympics' under Adolf Hitler?????????? Keep you eyes on things for the next several months - ESPECIALLY after the4 event is long completed........

The original Count Dracula in Transylvania was at least partially based upon an actual historical figure from that region called "Vlad the Impaler". Maybe some philanthropic "soul" should drive a stake thru Putin's chest when he is sleeping during the day in his coffin. Notice I didn't say thru his heart, since he doesn't have one! Putin thinks all gays are stereotypical "child molesters". if he got his head out of his ass, and actually took a look at the facts and statistics.. there is a much higher rate of pedophiles in the hetero community per capita. He is a homophobe.. and those are usually people who have issues with THRIR own sexual identity, and try to hide it by putting down those who just might be like him. He likes to come off like a macho man showing his bravado, but underneath maybe he has issues with his own identity, Those that yap the loudest about gays, sometimes get exposed .. many US politicians have been outed who spoke volumes against gays.
