Methane is indeed a greenhouse gas. But instead of worrying about legume induced flatulence, they should be worried more about the thawing of arctic permafrost and the methane produced by the sudden decomposition of the underlying organic matter.

Now I know the UK Government has gone nutz. I've just seen a news headline and I just eyerolled... "Britons need to eat fewer baked beans because of impact of “smelly emissions” on global warming, peer warns." What are they going to recommend next... a fart tax?!
