Funny that you should blog about this now. Yesterday I was watching some old episodes of the Batman show from the 60s. I've always found that show to be somewhat homo-erotic and I still do. I've always had a thing for Robin (Burt Ward) even though the script made him say some really corny lines. One episode had our heroes hanging back to back by their wrists over a vat of boiling wax. I noticed that some of Robins pit hair was exposed and found that very erotic. Back in the 60s, the TVs I watched were not as large and didn't have the best resolution. With todays HD large screen TVs, the costumes seem to reveal much more detail. I never thought "the Riddler" was an attractive guy (still don't), but his package was very clearly outlined in his tights. I don't know if the makers of that show meant for it to be homo-erotic, but I think that they were gay and thank them for their work!

Sigh...I tried to put spaces between bunches of those sentences to make I easier to read on the eyes but they went away...

So can you all tell where all you think there are any hints in society and media (such as music, film, and literature) where there implications to being gay or young boy lovers? I know sometimes people find and accuse people of being gay because they are either paranoid or just bigoted against gays. So in some ways you can find things that sometimes are not there but then again...do you really know?

For example I love the comic book stuff with Batman and Robin but I don't really think the creators meant any homo-erotic stuff there but apparently a bunch of haters in this world think so and that is one reason we have not seen Robin in any recent Batman movies. Now I HATE that because I love Robin the best out of everyone! Lol.

Pete Townsend from The Who has a solo studio l.p. from around 1980 that apparently is about gay boy love. R.E.M. seem to always have young boys in their short promotional films (i.e.: "music videos").

There seems to be quite a bit of Japanamation (I guess that would be the same as "Manga", eh?) that has gay boys in it (or at least of this topic) and just about everyone seems abiguous at best in that genre it seems.

I guess you could say the whole super hero thing of guys dressing up but I'm not sure the creators intended that either.

What about guys in the past that had earrings or even make-up? I mean back in the 1970's and 1980's all sorts of guys (in particular singers I guess) would practically be transvestites (or again at least ambiguous in some ways) and no one considered them to be gay at all! Now that's always fascinated me as well.

There seem to be tons of models that seem to be doing gay ads or what have you but I'm not sure that that is always the intent! I suppose some things are in the eye of the beholder!
