and I feel for all "the mom and pop" businesses that were looted or destroyed during the uncalled for riots, NYC is going thru the same here with eric gaynor, died being arrested...black guy, white cop...maybe all white cops should take a week off and see how the violence escalates throughout the US

nothing on either side has been proven in a court of law

I also hope the "shit" stops soon. The protestors have made their point, ABOUT A WEEK AGO. More than enough attention has been drawn to this situation. I feel sorry for the families of Mike Brown and the cop. Eric has made some good points here and I never knew that he was one of those customer service reps, that job must suck. I'm always polite to those people and am treated well in return. When I called AT&T to cancel my service with them, the rep. kindly canceled my account and ended the call by saying "thank you for choosing AT&T". Made me chuckle :-D

not to be racist, but if it was a black cop that shot him, or the victim was white...we wouldn't be discussing this. my prayers and thoughts to Mike Brown and his family...I hope this SHIT stops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every time something like this happens, all you ever hear about is the "poor, defenseless victim". People that say they witnessed whatever events took place will embellish the story to the point that the victim becomes the hero. A cop doesn't just go out and shoot someone on a whim. The "victim" precipitated the events that led to the shooting. A cop shoots someone or beats someone but all you ever hear about is the end result. Why was someone shot? Why was someone beaten? These are questions that are never answered because people choose to pull the wool over their eyes and never look at the truth. All anyone ever does is hate and point fingers. Another example would be an angry customer that calls a customer service representative and starts screaming and swearing over the phone. Then after the customer service representative has had enough, he or she may begin to scream and swear back. Then, when all is said and done, the angry customer will portray himself as the victim and go online and voice his disgust at how poorly he was treated and how bad the customer service was when he alone started the entire negative encounter to begin with.

I want to save my voice until the facts and the truths come out. There has to be more to this story than has been reported.

Oh, and remember that the organizer of the 1963 Freedom March on Washington, Bayard Rustin, was an openly gay man!!

I think we of the LGBTQ community need to stand with our Black brothers and sisters, realizing we, whatever race, have both been persecuted as minorities. From Stonewall to Ferguson, Missouri--it's all the same!

trust me it doesn't matter any more about there side :( with the way the public acted they will be afraid that they will act that way again if not found guilty. and to be honest really haven't been following it that closely. you know i wonder how come there isn't such a outcry for when a white man is gunned down by police. what ever happened to the white guy that was shot after he was already subdued by 2 other officers. yes it was on the news for a very short time :( don't recall were it was thou. thats how short the news story was on it. however a black guy gets shot and omg the news is for like a month and very closely followed.

there are two sides to the story and the second hasn't been told. lotsa people jumping to conclusions without knowing. I'll reserve my gut feelings until I hear the cops story. This kid wasn't "lily white"

nobody knows what really happened there. and the shameful part is nobody really will cause of all the looting and shit. they will most likely prosecute the officer even if he was in the right just because of looting and violence they are already seeing. there is police brutality is every were trust me its here as well. maybe people haven't been shot however beaten for sure. and in prisons it happens alot. yes i know this for a fact i have been in more then one. and some resulted in death. were is the out cry for those guys. yes some are white and some are black. however never a outcry for those that lost there life cause someone with a badge thinks that he is untouchable and it is a shame. trust me i can on about the subject. lol

Police brutality sucks anywhere that it occurs. I'm guessing that you are talking about Missouri, not Mississippi. The original incident in Ferguson, when the cop killed Michael Brown was totally wrong. But the constant looting is also uncalled for. Freedom of speech and peaceful protests are good things, but enough is enough. By now, I think it's safe to say that the citizens have been heard. I think it's time for people there it chill, let the wheels of justice take over, then they can protest the results later, if need be.
