Only once I got a new pair of shoes growing up. all the other times it was hand me downs or something I got from the goodwill. I did get made fun of at school because of the ugly dirty shoes I wore. The new shoes I got were from 2 brothers who I just meet in high school :) they seen people making jokes about me and my shoes one day.... so they came to school the next day with a pair of new shoes for me :)
