A question about crowdfunding

If I'd create a campaign on CumFundMe in order to raise money for producing my new videos, ex. to buy a better camera, lights, body paint, accessories and other, could I link the campaign to my videos on GBT or would it be against the rules?


Would it make me some kind of a prostitute? Would you think it's prostitution? Would it change the way people are watching my stuff, I mean, would you respect me less than you are doing now?


In my opinion, as my vids would stay free anyway and as the funding would simply be a gift, it should be OK, but before doing something stupid I'd prefer to make sure I won't get in trouble. Well it would not be the first stupid thing I do but...

Yeah, you're right swiftjohn, if I do that I must give something of really good quality and I'm not sure I can do it - and maybe people would dislike it even if I think it's really good, so... it's tricky... in the other hand it could be an interesting experience and it could really increase the quality of my videos, but it's a gamble... Maybe I shouldn't because I would be too exposed, as very few people are using this service and most are women, so I would be very visible for lots of people who are not into gay porn nor fetishism and that could be really difficult to manage. Maybe the trouble it would create doesn't worth it... or maybe it would be an adventure... Well anyway I won't do it right now, I must first think about it more seriously. Thank you for your useful advice!

You're only a prostitute if the people who send you money get to stick their dicks in your mouth or ass. As far as sending money to fund your videography, you should think of it as a donation to subsidize your art for which you provide free for the enjoyment of all. Kind of like a National Endowment for the Gay Erotic Arts. And respect will come from the quality of your art. And there is a big difference between gay eroticism and ordinary, seen one - seen 'em all unimaginative formula gay porn. But if people do indeed fund you, you had better produce some quality gay erotic art or else you're just a fraud and a scammer and you can forget any further funding.
