This is just another example of our ass-backward, bizarro-world culture. Several states argue that murderers as young as 12 should be charged and sentenced as adults. And don't get me started on how we allow slick military recruiters into schools to convince developing minds that becoming a professional killer at 17 or 18 is cool. But we can't possibly let someone that young decide who they might love. What a country!

Sexuality is one thing that your parents get no say in, and they should know having been kids once themselves, so why can they not just shut up, support us, and lets us decide for ourselves!

I've noticed that. Maybe I'm getting older and realizing how shitty the double standard is but when a kid is like two and he or she makes friends with someone of the opposite sex, the FIRST thing coming out of parents' mouths are "they're gonna be married one day" or if they see their son be around a bunch of girls, they go "he's such a babe magnet". But if that son said they were gay or bisexual, they'll say "you're too young to even know what that means". WTF!?! o_O That's fucked up and also dangerous because of what they say might affect that child. Then that child commits suicide because he feels there is no hope and his parents don't support him and they wonder why! But they're the ones telling children that they don't understand themselves smh

Chris is right (if this quote is rightly attributed to him).
