Hello Gay Boys :) Ruslan again. I am going to be a first time voter . In this years Presidential Election. I am very excited to be able to do this ! :) On to my question now. Who do you think i should vote for and why? I only want answers that are thought out. Please no hate speech of any kind. So as of now i am undecided of who to cast my vote for. I am young and gay ya. This is not going to be my only factor in who i vote for. This will be on my mind just not my only criteria. Thank you all Peace out Ruslan

there is alot more at stake then gay rights. I am all for equality, but I dont see any bills being made from either side about gay rights. Its a topic that is still to controversial for America. You need to do your own homework and look at the candidates and make a decision for yourself. I for one cant stand any single one of them running right now. I for one would have voted for Hillary Clinton if she was nominated, but never happened. We need someone who is for the people not the powerful like corporations.

Lol if Ron Paul isn't nominated by the republican party...chances are he won't be an option to vote for in the election. Currently Mitt Romney is miles ahead of the other reps with 74 delegates to newt's 24 and Ron Paul's 3 its looking very likely it will be Obama v Romney 2012 bar some major turn around in the republican nomination race. Romney has publicly denounced same-sex marriage though so im not sure if that would turn you off him Rus?

We all MUST vote. If you're disappointed with your choices then vote for the lesser of two evils. If you don't you will get the greater of two evils - i.e. Republicans who will implement reactionary, homophobic policies to appease their religionist constituencies and we all will suffer for it. So VOTE god damn it with the knowledge that you have just cancelled out one of theirs. By not voting, you have in fact voted for one of them by default.

Ron Paul is the only candidate that truly supports liberty. He isnt "pro-gay" per se... but he constantly speaks about how the government should be out of people's civil liberties, which includes gay marriage.. Barack ended DADT, but Ron Paul also voted to end it. Ron Paul stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=se0NqJFMAlg

Hay Rus. I am an Independent. I vote for the person and not the party, because all of the prates are corrupt. Also I don't agree with not voting. If you don't vote you have no rite to complain. Unfortunetly to me right now there isn't any one that is a good candidate in my opinion. I think they are all corrupt. So I think you have to vote for the lesser of all the corrupt "evil" candidates. (and good luck with that) lol

Just pray for the right canidate and do your homework, America is in a lot of trouble and she needs all the help we can give her. Unfourtally the troubles started way before Bush, the 70's. I love how everybody wants to put all the blame on Bush, but its not all his fault. Yes the Clinton adminestration looked good, because they simply ignored the problems that needed to be taken care of at the time. Every president inherites issues from the previous term and Obama talks about change but doesn't offer any. But like I said do your homework carefully and don't vote for someone just because they say their going to help the gays. Their is a whole lot more at stake then gay rights. Be strong, be pround and learn to fight for yourself as well. I don't understand all the bully problems, yes I was bullied but I stood up for myself and had some good fights too. Now I can say some of my bullies became my close friends. Bullies have their issues and thats why they look for weaker ones to pick on. Find out what concerns them and you will be surprised how you can help them, therefore helping yourself. Their have been bullies from the beginning and will always be, even out of school, and no law will change that. Don't let them degrade you and don't feel the need to tell every living soul your gay. Just tell your closest friends and family and the rest will fall in place. Just take it one step at a time.Don't make it more difficult than it needs to be. I'm 35 and know a lot of people and they don't all know that I suck dick. You will be surprised as you go through life and people you thought you knew are closet cock suckers. Thats what makes life interesting, not knowing. Life gives you lemmons, make lemonade. That' all I have to say, just my opinion. We all have them. Good luck and best wishes!

I would say for you to check the facts of each candidate by visiting their web sites and see what political platform they have. Yes it is true that most Republicans are against the LGBT community and have the power of the religious right (or wrong in my opinion) behind them. If you want to know the truth about why Obama is having a hard time look at the facts. George W. left the white house and the country in the worst condition of any president. President Clinton left a good white house and economy to Bush and Bush messed it all up. Watch Fahrenheit 9/11 by Michael Moore for a very insitefull view of Bush. So, Obama is having to spend almost his entire first 4 years cleaning up the mess that Bush left him, so is it fair to vote him out of office and put a Republican with the same views back in office. I personally don't think so. I say give Obama another 4 years. After all he did what Bush couldn't (actually Bush ignored it) do and that is get Osama. Bush had the chance to send all our troops to get Osama and instead got Suddam because Suddam man Bush Sr. look like an idiot. So the choice is yours, look at the facts, pic the one that most represents you.

i c the crew here is fully brainwashed and uneducated as to the history of civil rights, laws against gays and control of 1 party over the presidency and congress; don't think, Ruslan, just be a sheep like the rest.

RUSlan if every question would be to answer: decide for Barack (he changes that soldier are allowed showing their homosexuality OPEN...) a man with real Charisma or for the repuBlican with much money who mostly interested to get the power without clear messages WHY he should become the p.

Rus, once the Photos section is working again, I'll add a photo (more like a sign) I saw today on Facebook. I think the message is right on target: SAY NO TO ANTIGAY POLITICIANS...BECAUSE BULLYING DOES NOT END IN THE SCHOOLYARD!

Important to note also that the reason Obama struggled to make any definative change was because after only a year of his presidency he was pretty much made a lame duck by losing the house to the republicans; which meant he couldn't make any major changes in healthcare, jobs or the economy which are key issues. If american's really want positive change they need a democrat dominated house elected next congress and senate elections, to support the president if he is re-elected, otherwise he'll just be resented again and unable to do anything. Thats why a moderate rep like Romney seems an interesting alternative as instead of being isolated, he could actually get bills passed and actually make an impact.... A positive of the american system btw is at least you have some degree of choice in your presidential candidates......the current 3 main british candidates for prime minister look like clones of each other....only point of difference being the colour of their ties :/

If you ever want to have a long discussion about politics, I'd be glad to share. My basic belief is that all career politicians are prostitutes who'll say and do anything to get elected or re-elected. That means when I choose to whom I am giving my vote, I am mostly picking the lesser of two evils. With that said, I believe the leadership of the Republican party has spend every ounce of energy since Barack Obama was elected in 2008 to make sure he is not reelected in 2012. It seems like they are willing to flush the country down the toilet in order to achieve that result. If they were focused on the best interests of the country, they would not have been the party of "No". I am concerned that if a Republican were to be elected President in 2012, the US would again return to a period of terrible decline. Although I don't think "Hope and Change" is more than a slogan, I will vote for the reelection of Barack Obama in November.

You have no choice but to vote for Obama. Even the GOP doesn't like Nut (er, Newt). They are all against a womans's freedom of choice. They are homophobes in order to get conservative votes and , I am sure, will try to repeal the right of gays to serve in the military and try to put an end to gay rights. Never vote GOP, they will try to take away your rights.
