Ben and I had come down to the dining room that morning and Tony was already there, what he didn't know was that Ben and I had discussed the matter of Tony's confusion as where exactly Ben's home was. I had texted my father to explain that Tony, lovely boy that he was, was not in our 'Gang' at uni and REALLY thought Ben and i were real Brothers, and would he consul with mother and follow our lead at breakfast,. Ben should have left at first light, as he had said to my Mother that he wouldn't see her this very morning. We walked in and sat either side of Tony, we both wished him, and everyone at the table good morning, Tony smiled wanly It was my Father who started the ball rolling. 'Tony, my boy, i think that there has been some misunderstanding, Rory tells me you do not mix in the circles of friends that he and Ben shares at University?'. Tony sort of glanced at at me and Ben and nodded, 'Well, my boy, this is where the confusion has started, Ben is not Rory's biological brother!' There was an audible gasp from Tony, 'my father continued, 'Rory met Ben purely by accident when he first went to St. Andrews, but they have been as close as twin brothers ever since, we accept him totally into our family as do Rory's siblings, and Rory is totally assimilated into Ben's family, do you understand?' Tony looked shocked, he turned to me then Ben and said 'But they are near identical!', My Mother spoke, yes, it's destiny Tony, Ben had an identical twin brother, but he died at birth and Ben wasn't told until a very short time before he met our beloved son, so you see why they are so devoted to one another, their path through life will be a shared one, we treat Ben as our son, as does Rory's brothers and sisters, and all the people of this valley, do you understand?'
