Blogs Should be Short
My apologies for posting a two page story in a blog spot best suited to short vids and a few phrases. I just wanted to offer an opportunity to a new generation to look back to a time, over a hundred years ago, when European poets began to push back against the torrent of hatred and harm that confronted any man who was "perverted" enough to see beauty and love in another man.  It was the time of Oscar Wilde and other poets and writers who had the courage to speak about "The love that dare not speak it's name". Without them, we would not have the freedom to hold our lover's hand, or kiss on a street corner, or parade to celebrate Pride. There was no pride...only shame. Sometimes, looking back at the past to appreciate the present is not a bad move. If you would care to read the story I had posted in the blog space, it's here: sourcebooks.fordham.edu/pwh/bloxam2.asp
