Create New Blog EntryAfter sitting and trying to sleep in the bus about 24 hours from Vientiane to Phnom Penh I finally arrived here yesterday evening. This city is quite different than Vientiane,
congested and noisy but very interesting. I found 2 gay bars here yesterday evening! In Laos not possible. Mekong river is passing through the city and the river bank is
full of ancient pagodas (temples), bars, restaurants and The King's Castle, in the picture. People again very friendly and helpful but lots of poor people in the streets as beggars.
Tomorrow visit to the Killing Fields, its history is not very nice but must to see what Pol Pot made to this country's citizens... Another horror story here in Southeast Asia.
Happy and relaxing weekend to all my friends from the Kingdom of Cambodia (in khmer language ព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា, Preăh Réachéanachâk KâmpÅchéa). Hugs Jay
