Definitely a film that speaks volumes about the injustices and horror of homophobia, especially in schools and universities where hazing rituals and sexual harassment have until this day and age considered acceptable and a test of "manhood" while very disgusting and despicable. The music could have been omitted for sure. The ending was somewhat unexpected and out of context. I don't blame Gareth for punching Nick and in the final shots it seemed as though he felt Gareth's pain and did realize the terrible wrong he committed against him. Nick and his cohorts deserve to be punished for what they did no question. This may not be the best film to address sexual assault and rape in the LGBT community yet it shows how inhuman it is and reinforces the point society shouldn't judge and persecute others with such barbarism.

Not my fav kinda film, but it does speak to homophobia, self-hate and the backlash that results; Eric: I agree about the music, and I find it in so many high budget and mainstream movies where they just crank the alleged background/mood music so much that it totally stomps on the dialogue...aaarrrgghhh!!!!

Thanks Thom for giving us this look into the rage that builds within the victim of a sexual assault.

Hated HATED the fucking music. I think I would have hit the bastard with the candle stick or wine bottle too. Oh well, that is me. Just hate the music so loud you cannot hear what the characters are saying at important times
