Okay it's not quite what you're thinking! LOL.  We all know it's the weekend, and yeah..  Halloween us nearly upon us.  But, I have already had a trick-or-treater at my door!  As I've not been shopping yet, I had no cash on me and no treats to give out...  the lads left the door and I felt bad.  Sitting in the living room, I was about to start reading my book and there was this almighty BANG! from the hallway...   the jerks shoved a firework through my mailbox slot and darn thing set fire to the carpet before exploding then catching a jacket alight. Morons!!!!!   I have 3 pets here and they are now so scared they wont move from beside me.   I'm all for Halloween, and going out trick-or-treating...  but this was out of order :(

1) a tub of candy — I've learned not to fill it all up at once, or it'll be gone in 3 minutes...; better to ration it out, adding to it every half hour, if you're going to feed those gremlins! 2) exploding cigarette — I had a love-hate relationship with one of my college roommates, one of his favorite things, as I smoked at the time, was to take a cig halfway through my pack and hide an effing match-head an inch into it....

lol.. I've had one of those. Well.. it was more of an exploding cigarette... not only did it go 'bang' but it also sprayed out what looked like snow hahaha

I'll be more prepared next year... a tub of candy and things like that should sort that out hahaha. My Halloween treat? .. another film! LOL. I sat down and watched "Hocus Pocus".. Bette Midler had me laughing lol

Glad the lads were in the back of a police car; hope that scared the hell out of them — hey, if not, they've got to become accustomed to that part of the car. I'm with Moppy, the whole concept of "Trick or Treat", from what I read, was exactly that, that if you didn't bribe them with candy then they'd do raucous behavior on "their special day", so I don't "participate" either, I don't answer the door. I just love the 50%-off candy specials every November 1st!!! All right, half-price chocolate!!

Sorry to hear. Happy Halloween. haha. I am debating if I am going to treat this year. More and more of the spooky kids are mexican adolescents with deep voices and stand taller than me. It takes all the fun out when you feel they are taking advantage.

Don't get me wrong, folks... being American myself.. I'm all for celebrating Halloween. Anyhow, to update y'all, I received another visit from the police today and they informed me they knew the culprits (sitting in the police car). Rather then press charges I arranged a meeting with the lads parents. Seems one was egged on by the other to do this (peer pressure apparently). I told the parents I did not want to press charges too... all I wanted was for the lads to be more aware of the damage they could have caused. Yes, I felt bad for reporting them but at the time I was terrified.. being bipolar things like that don't help. To cut it short, I gave the lads a Halloween present in the end ($20)... it's my belief they had more of a scare than I did... and I didn't want to ruin their Halloween. They were released with no charge and it won't go on their record.

Sorry to read this Jordan and I hope your animals return to normal soon. I've never agreed with the trick / treat thing at all and refused to allow my family youngsters to go out. Love and peace. PaulXXX

friend ... this is out of order anti social stuff ... hm ... im in uk and dont get bothered by trick or treaters but reporting it must be recorded ... not much help and securing your letter box is a temporary option retaliation ie the shotgun option is provocative and could esscalate - offering treats is bribary - which is why i dislike the whole american imported halloween thing - this idea may not be practical but host a halloween party for hells angles bikers in drag and invite the little tikes in for toffee apples and coca cola :) not much help but just a thought - giles

Yep... I reported it earlier, but as usual the police response here was "It's on record... and we have your statement. We'll look into it." which probably means I have disturbed their teabreak hahaha ;) As for the spelling, I tend to use American spelling too... I originated from Orlando, Florida so it's always here in my heart.. long upsetting story though.

Wow. Are you going to report this to the authorities? It's much more than "out of order", it's violent & criminal behavior ("behaviour" for you).
