ANOTHER 8 DEAD

normsil Blog Last Activity 4 years ago 2.8K views 65 comments

Another 8 people will not be coming home from school again. They died because they went to  school this morning.. Trump says to send them our hearts and prayers.  I'm all prayed out. It appears that our lilly-livered president and congress  will do nothing but talk again.  They will only do something of their children or grandchildren become involved

Gun Free zones are TARGETS for killers.Taking guns/Gun rights from law abiding citizens will not fix the problem  Criminals will find a way. When guns were allowed in schools there were NO school shootings.

By the way, this is all just friendly debate.  It’s only mental fodder, like playing monopoly or whatever.  I hope my tone is coming across as calm and respectful.  Respectful debate is a healthy thing and we’re all friends here.

Ah, the gun debate.  The Orlando shooter had an assault rifle.  So did the guy in Las Vegas.  The kid in Texas used a pistol and a shot gun.  The same phenomenon is happening in China and people there go on sprees hacking people up with machetes.  Recently, there was a machete wielding maniac in London that was shot dead.  Heck, Terrorists are driving trucks now through crowds of people inpublic.  Look, your argument is two fold - first, guns make people dangerous and second, the more powerful the gun the more deadly a killing spree. Therefore remove guns to make people safe.  Ok, I contend They’re going to do it no matter what weapon they have on hand, gun or otherwise.

Woohoo a pro gun supporter has shared lol Msgboy;

  • I have guns for personal protection and hunting; I think the latest school shooting is a great tragedy; I think removing the ban on guns in schools - (which is not the same as the childish glib one liner "arming teachers", by the way) - would reduce future shootings. If these kooks knew there was an armed janitor or gym teacher who was going to shoot back they wouldn't do it; these shooters are cowards who want unarmed sitting ducks. I am delighted my state government has already removed the ban on concealed carry in schools (and a few other places).

Bravo.

So obviously the anti-gun elements are going to dislike having any guns in schools. But is there data on already armed security in schools? I'm sure I heard somewhere that armed security and metal detectors have been in some schools for a while? what are the figures on them? Msg's state already allows concealed carry? what in high school? how old do you have to be to have a gun? I thought it was 21 (legally i mean)

So now according to the gun lovers who value their guns over childrens lives, its the fault of working families/women in the workforce for mass shootings. GiveN past comments by some of those stating these things is nothing but thinly hidden woman bashing.

Strong family units with traditional values, a long list of rules which are strictly enforced, is the only way to raise children properly. That's what I have done and my children have all turned out well (even if my eldest is a bit homophobic).

The other thing about this is it is not a question of money; lots of poor people run a very tight ship and turn out great children, whereas affluent 'progressive' types will be indulgent and anything goes - then wonder why they are in Court watching 'junior' being sent to jail.

I think you're being too definitive with your conclusions;

  • The "nuclear family unit";

    • can still be one that teaches their progeny hateful things (white supremacists, religious fanatics?).

    • Are single parent households really unable to teach and raise loving children? In the last few centuries of war and attrition do you doubt many have grown up in such an environment and been "fine"?

    • How do we decide who leads by virtuous example? The anointed "role models" of today are the product of a capitalist paradigm in which fame/money somehow attracts respect and adoration. Not the great acts of virtue whether it be promoting peace, volunteering with charitable organisations or just simply working hard to create a good life for you own children.

    • When parents divorce did they marry too young not knowing themselves? Does this necessary become detrimental to children if both parents are on good terms and raise the children lovingly and teach them why their "love" for the other parent has dissipated is nobody's fault but just a hallmark of the mysteries of love?

I come from a single parent household myself, and my parents are on horrible terms, I haven't talked with my father since I was 11, but I don't hate the world. (nor do i hate my father for that matter lol). So I don't really think it can be conclusively said that the world is in chaos because 2 parents aren't always there.

  • Obesity - People are living more sedentary lives with the advent of the computer age, but isn't there also a rising "fitness" industry trying to tackle this?

  • Drug addiction - is a complex matter as i'm sure you know with your education. Even successful persons can fall prey to it. Learning balance in life is a lifelong process in some instances.

  • Again, suicide rates is a complex situation and needs more thought than just attributing it to one thing.

  • "decline" in education levels; how so? you mean further education? or the standards of the current education system?

  • Religion has faced unilateral isolation in the West with the last couple of centuries of innovation and science in favour of Atheism. Is it really correct we have done so? who knows? Personally i try to absorb every religion to better understand And so far I don't understand why "supposed intellectuals" think dismissing religious teachings is the correct way to move us all forward in life. Everyone has spiritual needs, something they try to believe in for better or worse.

I would never encourage calling someone stupid for saying how they think/feel. real debate is about understanding a person's thoughts and feelings that create their beliefs. When you see that you realise that attacking ideas is a fruitless endeavour and we should instead address the reasoning that creates the idea.

Sorry I made a new post @cody - It was easier to break down a response with the formatting options.

You are oversimplifying things and blaming it on families. It's also because of the blessed and damned internet and the loose morals on TV, especially cable TV.  Internet has got to be one of the worst influences of late.  It could be used for the greatest of goods but instead it is used more for porn, cheating, disinformation, outright lies, and social bullying by kids rather than for information and knowledge.  It is NOT just the dissolution of the nuclear family because there are still a lot of families like that out there.  They are the first to admit that social networking, porn, and lies on the internet cause them the most family problems.  Obesity rates are due to fast foods and pre made meals, all the food shows glamorizing food, and busy work schedules everyone has trying to keep afloat.  Drug addition we can thank the pharmaceutical industry for pushing opioids and giving kickbacks to doctors who graciously accept the kickback.  Mental illness probably due to all of the chemicals our parents and we have absorbed via the products made and food manufacturing not to mention all of the crap we dump into our oceans (the new toilet) and don't forget pharmaceuticals in urine going back into our drinking water which regional water processing plants can't clean up.  Suicide rates due to bullying in school, internet, and notoriety and sensationalizing on the news.  Religion we can probably thank all of the molesting priests for and the fact that most people work in businesses that run 7 days a week.

Is there a handbook, a page, a PDF perhaps, even a guide to an intuitive understanding that lists the adjectives and nouns and sentence construction that are acceptable to whomever, without warning or explanation decides to unilaterally delete posts? I thought that the neocons, loony right and all in that narrow spectrum might have picked up their blunt pencils, consulted a rarely used dictionary and sprung to defend that illusionary right to free speech that Americans choose to defend when they can benefit from it...but no, not a peep. Why was I not surprised? As I picked my way over the piles of stinking dead bodies that msg so eloquently revealed to the world as blocking the streets of our major cities, I was grateful that I could enjoy the same right to free speech that is not equally valued here. Thanks for the solidarity guys, and thanks as well for the eratic zeal of our anonymous censor. When is he going to grow a spine  and tell us who he is?

It used to be mom, dad, and two kids were brother and sister.  Dad worked, mom stayed home and the children were raised by the female with guidance and discipline.  Now the whole thing is gone - dad's out of the picture, mom works all day and the girl is the boy's half sister from another father outside of marriage.  This dissolution of the nuclear family unit became the norm rather than the exception in the late 1970's and early 1980's.  Kids now days are in business for themselves as far as familial identities are concerned and have no role model to look up to, have no discipline, and have no organized structure to develop in.  Is it a coincidence that all measures of human civilization have eroded?  Look at obesity rates, drug addiction, mental illness, suicide rates, decline in education levels, and an increase IN SCHOOL SHOOTINGS!  No, it is not.  The liberalization of america has succeeded in killing the nuclear family and killing religion.  It has left children on their own to develop their own habits and morals, relying on figures from popular culture as role models.  Women moving to work place is only one facet of this but its a crucial cog in the overall failure of whats going on here.  Call me stupid if you like, but that;s the way it is and blaming guns is the lazy and weak mind attempting to pick low hanging fruit.

It's easy to see that this is a free site, I doubt if anyone would be on the blogs if this was a pay to view site. Members would be too busy playing with their cocks and not wasting time on crap like this

Women have gone from being maternal in the home, raising and nurturing kids, to entering the work place.  In her place the kids are raised by popular culture in the media. You can argue about guns until you’re blue in the face, but this is a reflection of the decay of family and the liberalization of society.

LeoKricov excellent comment, and I couldn't agree more.  The cities that have the strongest laws against guns are also the ones with the highest violence with guns.  They would never be able to take back all the guns.  As a student of history checkout how Germany took all the guns back, used kids to turn their friends and neighbors in to death camps, and such.  Exactly what they are trying to do now.  Its bad parenting, all this PC crap,  all this diversity to keep everyone from uttering a word to someone that has an opposing view.  Teachers teaching lies and hatred.  Some many more to add to what you have written. Thanks for being honest and right to the point.  Entertainment world glorifies guns and drugs.  Yet the preach against it.  Sorry really pissed and can't make statements.

When I was a lad, my mammy taught me that if I couldn't express an idea/concept in such terms that anyone could fully grasp my meaning then i truly didn't understand the idea/concept in the first place and should rework my expression.

@delonge; so, My suggestion of removing guns from the average citizenry automatically makes you a victim? That is a strawman argument sir. All other western nations have banned guns on their own terms - none of us consider ourselves "victims". I  quite happily accept Americans keeping their guns. It's your nation, your cultural identity. BUT it is a flawed viewpoint to live in FEAR of being victim to terrible things. Carrying a deadly weapon does not necessarily change this, and in some instances it helps proliferate the terrible things.  How can you prevent school shootings effectively? what do you think is the best way? I gather you are pro gun. dont worry lol

Saw this on faecesbook.com - and it's so true. If we let teachers, janitors, (or even seniors) in schools conceal carry then there wouldn't be shootings.

What Obarmarx and the Demoscum party never admit is they WANT mass shootings of children; leftists really get off on that, on murder. Whether it be school shootings, or Stalin's purges, or the Killing Fields in Cambodia, or the French Revolution (40,000 beheadings) left wingers get orgasmic about it.

The other thing that gets them off is poop; left wingers get hard-ons and all excited at homeless people sleeping on the streets of 'Frisco with diarrhea running down their legs. All left wingers are impotent and it is the concept, the thought, of either murder or poop that brings them on.

Sick, demented people.

@delonge. Really mate I have no clue to what you're on about, i cannot decipher your other reply either [sorry]? lol This thread began as a cry about a school shooting. Aren't we talking about gun control and possible solutions? Care to elaborate?
