The question about school got me thinking about another subject. I was one of the last ones showering up after gym one day and I swear out of nowhere I sprung a boner. Why be embarrassed,especially in a school situation where involuntary boners just happen at any time. Boys who board at schools in Britain treat it as a joke, although the word 'boner' isn't much used. Contrary to lurid tales. they don't lay hands on each other. In several Scottish all-boy boarding schools where the kilt is everyday uniform and nothing is worn underneath, the way of dealing with that common event is said to be making sure there are heavy things in their sporrans.
Pretty much daily when I swung a hammer as a carpenter years ago. Now I'm an estimator w/ a collared shirt and stuck in the office.
