Tragic, gritty and harsh coming-of-age story. I can relate to Elisha, I know what it's like to be bullied for being yourself. Totally convinced Alex is either gay or bi based on his behavior and his constant sexual talk to Elisha is another part of his dominance and hopefully getting Elisha sexually excited toward him. I don’t think it’s Alex’s sexual fantasy to be with Gisberta, but instead more of a sexual fantasy to be with Elisha (with Gisberta just as an excuse).
