Ha nobody will read this coz it doesnt have a hot title. I should have made the title FUCK ME HARD and everybody would read this haha.

Ok really my question is this, does anybody know how to make a banner or background skin pic for their profile here? Ive noticed a lot of guys profiles have skins and things, but when i try to use that *edit profile* the thing that is supposed to let me upload a banner never works (either from my computer or a url, it comes up with "file not found"). I also tried clicking on the FAQ link at the bottom of the page to see if theres instructions, but in also doesn't work.

Owell, just curious and i promise next time Ill write a blog saying FUCK ME HARD lol.

Canadaman: Scotty's got it right. You can create any image you like in Photoshop or however and use it as a background. I'll tell you how but I don't know how familiar you are with computers, HTML and so on, so I'm going to assume minimum knowledge. So I'm sorry if at times I'm sounding patronising, I don't mean to talk down to you, I just wanna help you through it, OK?
So, create the image you want to use and save it as you normally would. Then go to www.pimp-my-profile.com. From the list on the left, select "MySpace Editor" (yeh, don't worry, it doesn't matter that it was designed for MySpace it works fine for GBT) and on the next page, select the "Background" tab underneath the MySpace Layout Generator heading. You then have the choice of setting a plain background color or using an image. To upload an image from your computer, click the "PMP Upload" button, then the "Upload Image" button which appears. You can then select your image file from your computer. When the image appears in the box, scroll down and make your final settings selections. I would recommend chosing the centre circle for "Position", for "Repeat" chose "Full Tile" (it repeats the image over the screen), for Movement chose "Fixed" ("Scroll" if you want the image to move up and down with the curser) and "Page Border" "Off". Below these choices, go for "Preview My Layout" to look it over and if you're happy with it click on "Generate My Code".

Now ... the next bit you will see is a box appears with HTML coding in it, it will start with this:

What you need to do is highlight everything in this box: position your curser before the opening "". Right click for your choice of actions then left-click to choose "Copy". Then go to your GBT page and open "Edit Profile" (right at the top of the page). Click your curser into the "About Me" box, then right-click, then select "Paste". With any luck (!) the code you've copied from Pimp My Profile should now appear in this box. If so, go to the bottom of the page and save your changes. Now go back to your Profile page and prepare to be amazed!!
Hopefully the image you wanted will appear as the background to your page. If it doesn't, get back in touch with me here on GBT and I'll try to help you get it sorted.

canadaman yea i was hoping to use 1 of my own pics also but this is still better than nothing. Also i saw your new profile background and its veh veh cool but it says *mature 17 * so i had to immediately go away and look at porno :P
Just in general im curious about who runs this site? I mean its obviously very popular and the selection of videos is amazing, but it seems like theres no contact even possible with administration and things like the FAQ just dont even work...? Wuts upwit dat?

Scotty .. (and grangeol) thanks ! I also pasted the Hi5 code into my profile and got a background.
Personally, I'd prefer to design my own background in Photoshop and upload it, but it appears GBT
doesn't allow that ( ?? ). Too bad. Had some cool ideas. ;-)

so i got an answer in an email from a user here (grangeol - THANK YOU) and it works so in case anybody else wanted to do their own profile background, im gonna post it here just as he sent it to me--

**Go to http://www.profilebrand.com or www.pimp-my-profile.com and search thru Hi5 layouts. When you find one you like, copy the entire Code for that profile. At the top of your GayBoysTube page is Edit Profile. Past the Code into one of the Random Information boxes and Save.**

I was wondering the same thing. I tried to upload a small JPEG image but got an error instead.
The FAQ link down below (where the info on the banner background should be) doesn't work !!
