1. What are your strongest beliefs on life and how it should be lived?
2. Are you in a state of fulfillment right now?

1. I think that the gaining of knowledge is what leads one to living a full, distraction-free life, as well as contemplation of that knowledge. Usually, one would return to Nature to consider these questions. And with that knowledge we understand that which we need, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually, because we listen to what is revealed by the deepest silence of our heart, not to the "noise" of T.V. or cell phones or Facebook.
2. No.

What do you think?

1) ON LIFE: despite many misunderstandings of some when i have spoken in faith, i believe this life is a gift from ALMIGHTY GOD, that HE knew us before we were conceived and has a plan for each of us for good and not evil. to this i have been told, 'you're not gay! you're here to convert us! we're on to you! you need leave here!' i have and come back time and again. why? im just as human and sexual as anyone else here. i dont identify as 'gay' from all the stereotypes associated, misguided 501(c)3's selling out to corprate 'sponsors' and the political games too. my sexuality and anyone's really is just part of being human and we all are 'in the flesh'. i dont preach 'celibacy', we will always fail in that. but i hurt for all those who feel so rejected by so many churches that became museums for saints instead of hospitals for sinners. so yes, i say my belief on life is that we are all GOD's children and HE love us even though HE doesn not approve of alll we may do. aye, you've probably heard the 'abomination' Scripture. but that is under old law. HIS WORD we cannot change to fit us and we don't have to, because HE made redemption possible by blood sacrifice. i will soon ask someone to be my life partner. he knows it. he knows i dont use the word marriage either for it is a Holy Rite. but i have sought from the highest in me church, to bless our friendship in HIS service and hope that he and i will always stay strong and true to faith, knowing we and all are not alone, forgiven, wanted and more than anywhere else, TOLERATED in unconditional love. 2) FULFILLED: the day i take the name of nicholas (saint and ancestor) confirming as a cognizant young life, that i accept that Blood sacrfice and by it and earlier by baptism, i am forever sealed in the arms of the GIVER OF IMOORTAL GLADNESS. this life a flash in the pan by comparison. so i also sing, 'soon and very soon.' HE decided earlier this year to say not so soon as i tried to make it. THANK YOU LORD! GOD loves you all and so do i :)

I am not a believer in organized religion. But no matter how I look at the science or religious texts...in the end I believe that there is a power greater than us...what that is I don't believe I will ever know. Science talks about the big bang, Christian believe in the 7 day miracle from God. But in each case, there is a leap of faith that one must take....So I have taken it, that there is something greater than me that exists in this world. How that manifests itself in my life, I am not sure. I know I believe profoundly that every life has worth, each person has value. And with that knowledge, I believe that we most accept them for who and what they are....I am not sure what a state of fulfillment is...I have always said that the place I want to be is, if today was my last day of life, could I look myself in the mirror and say, I have no regrets today. And at least today, when I asked that questions, the answer was, no regrets. Thomas

Hay mike(y)1946. See your childhood friend posted this blog. Thought you told me Plato died. LOL
Life is a road to travel and we must travel for ourselves. No one persons road is the same.

I will not argue the exsistance of God with anyone. I do know one thing for a fact we all will find out one day for certain if indeed he is or is not. and at that point some of us can say "I told you so" My opinion is that if indeed there is a God he must be truly ashamed of what we've done with this beautiful world he gave us.

1. i cant say i dont believe in god or religion, i just dont know and for that reason i stay neutral on religion, im literally an atheist because whos to say the religion i was born in is real or not. I do however believe in a Buddhism, some people mistake this as a religion and some people do worship Buddha as a god, but most Buddhists just look to him as a spiritual leader. Buddhism is about satisfying the self even though being Buddhism is about being selfless, lets face it all of us are selfish, if ye are selfless we only are so to fulfill our need to feel good about doing good things. and the way to do that is end desire, basically live the best life as the best person you can be.
also about buddhism i do beleive in enlightenment. i believe enlightenment is a state of true happyness and self fufillment. And no one can tell you how you can get to that, you may be guided but all must follow their own path and do what they truly feel they need to.
I also believe another key point is that no one should choose a job or career because i makes them money or makes their parents proud. i myself am a culinary student and i would rather be a poor chef living in the streets than be a rich lawyer. We are all artists, we all have natural born talents, if you love to do it and you are good at it thats what you should shoot for, even if your just a ssculptor making no money, who cares so long as you are happy. if you truley love law and being a lawyer than you should be a lawyer but it should have nothing to do with your money.

2.Nope. i still have desires, i have goals to acheive and i am far from enlightenment.

I urge everyone to do some soul searching. slow down in life (and im from new your life isnt exactly slow here) but find a way to slow down every once and a while and just breath, find a way to make time stop (meditation is just one method) and find a way to think. and i mean really think about the self. if you are doing math your doing the wrong kind of thinking.

Live and let live...why kill a fly if it comes in to your home?, I leave the window open so the fly can leave when is wants. I afford others the same dignity and respect that I expect from them. I walk away from trouble, and as one grows older and learns from experience one is able to see the potentional for trouble and avoid it before it even kicks off. .............................. A few weeks ago a blogger appeared on a TV show to launch her new book. The book was based on her experiences as a well known blogger. She made reference to a question she asked of some very old people who were close to death, which was...."if you could go back in time and change something in your life, what would it be?" a staggering 96% said........"I wish I didn't work as hard and put in as much hours as I did and spent more time enjoying my life and doing the things I wanted"....of course not all gave that exact word for word reply, but that was the point they all wanted to make. that they had spent so much of their lives doing other peoples bidding...........................your life belongs to you and no-one else, do with it as you please, but it's best if you make proper use of it. As we grow old and get closer to death we reflect on our life. The better our life has been, a life without shame, without regret, without guilt, the less difficult death will be. Only in death can you feel fulfillment.

For many reasons, I have trouble accepting the existence of God - I am agnostic, for now. I used to be theistic. I am sort of appealed to the idea of some natural order within Nature, like a perfect Divine Order that is self-sustaining and just and one. Whether it is self-conscious or just a characteristic of the Universe, I am not sure. Buddhism and Taoism are intriguing as well, especially Buddhism. Cause and effect, karma, dharma, samsara, and the like. These questions, it seems, are the most important but the least considered, which I am guilty to. One of my favorites, by Thoreau, who is my profile picture:

Let us settle ourselves, and work and wedge our feet downward through the mud and slush of opinion, and prejudice, and tradition, and delusion, and appearance, that alluvion which covers the globe, through Paris and London, through New York and Boston and Concord, through church and state, through poetry and philosophy and religion, till we come to a hard bottom and rocks in place which we call reality and say, This Is, and no mistake.

god is the sum total of all. we are spirits. to participate in this particular (material world)reality, we have a mind and body. we are connected to god with a connection.(spiritual phone line) karma drives us. karma is what our actions bring. what you do is what you get. we move on back to the spirit world(in tact)when the time is right. there are endless realities. we participate in many of them. god is the entire system..eventually we do not have to return to a material world and that would be heaven...

I believe in something incredibly simple: treat others as you wish to be treated. If all followed that simple belief, the world would be a much better place for all of us.

Now, if by fulfillment you mean am I satisfied with my life right now, then the answer is yes. Things are in place in a way that makes me feel content and comfortable with myself, my family and my friends. I do try to continuously improve myself by always learning something new and always trying a little hard, but I am no zealot nor am I not a perfectionist, just a mortal man. Sometimes you have to realize how good things are and refrain from becoming greedy or selfish regarding your need and desires. And always leave room to help others as best you can.

After seeing Iraq and the awful things humans can do to each other I think that I don't take anything for granted anymore. I dont have the urge to collect a lot of STUFF. Just what I carry on my back as a hitch from one plact to another. After I was wounded and came home I decided to see what I was fighting for so I have been just wondering the country. I will be 25 in a few months and I figure there is plenty of time for me to pick a place and settle down, but for now I am a vagabond meeting people, making friends loving life.People say "You should buy your own car" but that ties me to something. I dont want to have to get license plates or repairs etc. I want to just go where I want as I want. I have a laptop, Since I discovered GBT that is the most internet contact I have made. I dont do facebook etc. My webcam is busted, so you guys are my only online pals. I love you all! I have never met anyone mean or nasty on the road, had some pretty hot sex in a few rest stops! and road with a couple horny truckers across Oklahoma. But I am opening my heart and mind to just how great the average person is and how wonderful our country truly is.
