Absolutely NO!

onlyinvegas and steesbratt, you guys have really my eyes that little bit more. I'm slowly come to terms with who I am and and the daily negativity I get for displaying sensitivity and occasional femininity. I'm hoping I can one day break the clutches of fear and speak out about what I believe in. Thank you.

haha all very true vegas, I get up in the morning put one leg in my pants at a time just like a straight guy. I can choose to be happy or I can choose to be miserable I find I like life much more being happy, so today i choose to be happy. I also beleive if i was straight with the same attitude i have I would be just as happy. Life isnt happy because you are gay or straight life is happy because you choose it to be.

to steesbratt: great words to live by. I lug your attitude. I was in the military and very unhappy about being gay and felt alone. But the only one to change that was me. I finally said to myself the only one who is going to make me happy is me. Life is not about what ifs... its about what are you going to do with it. I work out with a lot of younger guys at the gym... some of the most unhappy guys there are ones who are str8.

The answer is no and here is why;

If I was straight I would have to give up the following - cruising cute guys, sex at saunas with cute guys, sex at my apartment with cute guys, going to gay nightclubs, sex with cute guys, sex with really cute guys, sex with even cuter guys.

So ummmmmm what exactly is the point of being straight?!?!?! *confused*

Not since I was 15yrs old, today I have a great boyfriend we have been dating since I was 17, I love my life and would not change a thing. My straight friends seem to have all or similar issues. Life is what you make it, its as easy being straight as it is being gay. I choose to love my life and if there is something I dont like I change it or accept that there is no change to be made.

hey tom, you are a young man. but in time you will become more comfortable in your own skin. In time you will want your friends and loved ones too know who you are. and when that time comes you will know who you are. there was no internet talk talk to people when I was 18. Good luck there are many like us so relax and make good friends for with out them we are alone....joe

so although in the begining when i was younger in my teens i really had a problem with it i guess it was the town i lived and the time frame however when i met my first real bf (not the fake ones that are out there today just using people for money) well he made me feel good about things. and we were together for over 18 years. and although were not together any more we are still best friends.

before i came out to my friends and family i did. i prayed daily for god to take these feelings away, and i forced myself to watch straight porn hoping that somehow that would make straight. but after coming out and realizing that i shouldn't live my life trying to be what everyone else wanted me to be i realized that i love being gay and wouldn't have it any other way. :)

NO - simple answer

11 years ago

I have in the not so distant past wished that and I have since come to my senses and began to realize you are who you are, nothing can change that and its nothing to be ashamed of. I think your better off just embracing who you are and enjoying all that you can this one and only life you have in this time, it’s much better than being unhappy wishing you were something your not, that is just a terrible waste of time in my opinion.

Well I for one am fucking miserable because I'm gay. Be easier if I was straight I think

Yes, ceteris paribas (Gay life, straight life being equal) being straight is just easier and especially when your older, having children (biological) is something made difficult if your gay. So yes, I wish i wasnt gay. But im pretty sure i am, so must make the most of it :)

I have offend wondered what my would be If I were str8. Would I be the compassionate man I am today to people who have been put down time and again because they are different? I would like to think that being gay is a part of me and that is does not define me. It is only a part of me that makes me who I am.

I used to wish that I wasn't. But not any more. I've got my head straightened out now and wouldn't want to be any other way.

I'm Bisexual so perhaps I dont quite fit in on either side. I just go with the flow! if I am attracted to someone and he or she likes me to I roll with it. We usually have a nice time. I'm not a march for the cause kind of guy. I did my bit in Iraq.
