I know this is a porn site and people will come and go. That being said, when you feel that you have connected with a new or old member, and then poof they are gone without a word, I have a sense of loss. Today, as I began my evening of posting on a few walls here and there, I discovered that alanwilly had left. And then to my surprise since he had posted on my wall earlier...the professorbuttpoker was gone as well. And while they are free to do as they desire, I always feel a sense of loss especially when you don't here a good bye.

So good bye my two friends. I will miss you both. You brought a smile to my face and made me think as well.

Alan...you have made me a happy man today. As I have told you before, you inspire me with your honesty, your authenticity and your ability to take responsibility for the man you are. And I believe that your future is bright...and I am proud to call you my friend. And, if it were possible...I would be proud to call you my son. Thomas

Thomas, I did what Nick said and created a new membership as I still cannot access my old one. I have not put all the lurid details about me on my profile yet. Lets wait and see if I get attacked again.

All...I am sharing a part of Alan's note to me. And I will be following up with Nick regarding whatever the issues are/were. "I went to sign on GBT said "log on information was incorrect" I tried over and over again but my account had been erased. Dont know why but I am guessing that some of the unkind messages I recieved telling me that I didnt belong there figured out a way to boot me out. Its ok I know where I am not wanted. I will just miss my friends and having a place to talk about what is going on in my life. It really helped me through Randy's death and funeral. I love everyone who was nice to me there. Piss on the mean people

Thats great! I also was worried about Alanwilly he has had so much happen in his short life I am glad he is ok. I hope he will be rejoining us. I find him an inspiration and a person that even I can look to when I am feeling down. I think that many of the young men on here need someone like Alan to talk to in their time of need

Thanks @mrpickles. And I have heard from Alan through my private email. And will check to see what happened to his account. He seems to have had the same fate as professorbuttpoker. But he is OK and searched hard to find me....so I feel much better today.

I am here! I was professorbuttpoker, somehow my membership simply disappeared. I have sent a message to Nick to see if I did something wrong of if it was a glitch. I have created a new membership and I ask everyones forgiveness. I had to figure out how to return. It required me to create a new email and everything inorder to create a new membership. I dont know about anyone else. Please anyone who I was friends with before please allow me to resume our friendship

Just a thought but I dont think of it as a pornsite but as a caring community. It hurts when someone leaves without a goodbye.

Georgets has gone? u loved his humour mike? - he wuld bully peeps, send abusive private mesages, make GBT unplesant for others, shit stir, send more abusive private mesages, bully some more, make GBT even more unplesant for others. I totally agree that's it's .. at the very least ... polite to send a private message to people on GBT who have been kind to you, if you plan on leaving. You don't owe them an explanation WHY you are leaving, but at least let them know you're moving on. To me it's basic courtesy.

Maybe they leave when their moms or their wives catch them in the act of viewing GBT. Whatever the reason, a simple goodbye would be the civilized thing to do. But the internet is full of uncivilized and discourteous people. If I were to leave I would certainly send my regards to the handful of people whom I consider a friend and that includes you Thomas.

Yes a goodbye would be nice,but we must Ask,ourselfs Why,they left too.

yes it's just politeness to say goodbye when you leave..i am thinking of leaving..maybe not until the end of the year..but i WILL say goodbye to all my friends on GBT before i go!

Alan was obviously hurt by a couple comments in one of his blogs, and said he regretted posting his story (it was the one about his friend's suicide). I also recall him being labelled a "fake" by someone else, so I could understand how the negativity towards him by a few might make him feel as though his time here was not as fun or rewarding as he'd hoped.
