Connecticut Tragedy

Blog Last Activity 11 years ago 429 views 6 comments
I posted this on many of my friends walls this morning. But realized that some of you are not listed as my friend, but are part of the family that exists here. So I share it with you all:

My Friendā€¦.after the events of yesterday in Connecticut, I find myself in a dark and sad place. Violence is never an answer. And violence perpetrated against children is the most heinous act there is. My heart is heavy with emotion, and I do not want to debate the politics of guns or mental health care. Both are issues that we as a nation need to wrestle through, for these acts are too horrible to have repeated over and over. What I do know, is that today, I have an incredible need to hold close to me those that I care about in the real world and the family I have here. So today, I open my arms to you, as my friend, to hold you close, to thank you for being in my life, to thank you for your friendship. I know some may think it in poor taste to post this message on each of your walls, the same message. But each of you has touched me, made me grow, and made me a better person. And I want each of you to know the same thing from me.

Thomas

Have you ever wondered what a hero looks like? Well heres one, Vicki Soto age 27 a teacher at Sandy Hook Elementery. When the shooting started she hid her 1st graders in closets and cabinets. When the shooter came to her room there was no place for her to hide, she told him that her kids were in the gym. She was killed but none of her kids were injured. The nation salutes you Ms. Soto, as there is a special place in hell for the monster who did this and there is a very special place in heaven for you.

Like you Thomas I find myself in that very same place it is like there is a huge dark cloud over me since I heard the news I am deeply saddened by the events of this very sick and twisted animal as letsgo said take your own miserable life if thats how you feel and leave the innocents alone. These children had no chance to grow into beautiful productive human beings. I was so full of Christmas spirit and cheer and now all that is gone.
