How to get rid of "New Video" messages?

Hi, I have almost 300 friends on this forum and I try to post as much new videos as possible. The problem is that every time I post a new video, a message "New Video" is automatically sent to every of my friends. It means that every time my ONE new video is posted, almost 300 "NEW VIDEO" messages are sent from my account and they are shown in my OUTBOX. As several my new vids were posted lately, I have ONE HUNDRED PAGES of "NEW VIDEO" messages in my OUTBOX, which I have to delete one page by one. It takes a lot of time, it's really annoying. Such messages are stored in ALL posting member's OUTBOXES, taking quite a lot of space on the server.
Is there any way to inform friends that new video has been posted WITHOUT placing such messages in OUTBOX?

Hmm...interesting...my friend requests are sent to my yahoo e-mail account...sponsered by facebook...???

Thanks grangeol for your information! That explains a lots of new, inexplicable things happening in my life. Like the voice from loudspeakers "You're now moving to level 8, close your middle eye, please" .huh...

For BSB, actually the Mayans were right, the world did end on December 21 and now we are all in internet hell. We just don't know it yet.

grangeol, that's true and it's frustating trying to find those "special" messages from that jungle... If possible the admins should create a system where my friend who subscibes me ONLY gets email of my "New Video",not email for me at all. All "normal" emails in Outbox comes in there as before and stays there as long as I decide to keep it or delete it. But maybe if this kind of reforms happens here we'll celebrate year 2054... :)

For BSB, you may not be too concerned about the volume of new video messages in your outbox, but I have messages in there that I need to refer back from time to time. The "real" messages get hard to find when they are buried amongst hundreds of pages of "new video" messages.

Today's situation: 5419 pages and 135 475 emails in my Outbox. So it's less than I thought... Btw, tolead I agree with you, I do not subscribe anyone and I don't receive any emails about "New Videos", just normal mail from my friends. BSB

Just thought I would enter the fray here. Stees and I are friends here, but I have never received an email when he uploads. In fact, I receive none because I do not subscribe to anyone. I would rather peruse the new ones myself. And I do hate the full out box. But I just choose to ignore it.

...so summa summarum...this whole case is working like it wants to be, no rules anymore... anyway it's better to get videos uploaded than pay attention how many emails (in outbox) do you have...I think next wednesday it'll be in my case over 1,509.007. Or maybe 3 more? let you all know then :) no problem, huggggsss BSB

I agree with Mike and perhaps we should just lose it altogether and just all check the New vids out every few days. Thanks Nick for Offering to look into it.

grangeol is right I have only 4 subscribers but each time I upload it sends out over 300 messages and I agree many times I get a notification from someone else that uploads and I go looking for the video and it never appears.

For Davey and BSB, the "new video" messages do not just go to subscribers. I have zero subscribers (but a large number of friends) and every time I post a video many pages of new video messages appear in my outbox. If I recall correctly, I think a member can select whether they want notifications when they make a friend request. I don't mind others getting the messages, if they want to see them, but I just don't need to see them in my outbox. It is just another one of those things that discourages video posting. I also agree that, if we are going to have these messages, they should go out when the video is posted on the site and not when they are uploaded.

Davey, you're right again...message appears to subscribers mailbox when your video is uploaded and completed. But NOT(yet)accepted. I know this because lots of askings from my subscribers: "where is your video you just uploaded"... out in space somewhere, maybe? :)

maybe just ditch the whole app...it is a pain in the ass...takes up space...leave it to guys to seek new vids by going to the newest vid section and exploring...

I think the message appears in yr Inbox when its uploaded and not when its finally accepted and placed on yr page,so you can go to the page of yr friend and it may not be there yet

but when i get the new vid mail..it don't open the vid when clicked. wish there was a way to go str8 to the vid from the mailbox..?

I think Davey you're right. Just in curiosity I made some boring mathematics brain-destroying tests: JANUARY 21st I uploaded 3 videos. "I" sent that day 825 emails about "NEW VIDEO", that means 275 received that mail. Maybe I have 275 subcribers, don't really know... Right now I have totally 1076 friends so IF they all got mail from me when uploaded those 3 videos that'll be TOTALLY 3228 emails sent ;) About "OUTBOX" I stopped deleting mails a long time ago. Of course if you love to spend 5 hours a day just only deleting your outbox messages go ahead. Alternatively stop posting videos! Right now I have 5134 pages in my outbox and totally 128 350 emails.... Have a nice weekend and fun! BSB

Part 2 > 300 messages have been sent...Are you sure on that.
The new Upload should only go to the subcribers.

Im Confused .I thought only Subscribers recieved those messages in there in box.
And the creater of the Uploads had no control over that.Surely all 300 of yr friends
are not Subscribers.But you say that each time you upload 1 vid, 3
