Locked Out Of Your GBT Account? Victims of the Upgrade Unite!

<p>In monitoring the problems with the upgrade, it seems there may be a significant number of members out there who still cannot log into their <strong>regular GBT account</strong>. To check on the log in problem, I am establishing the <strong>Upgrade Victims Rights Organization (UVRO)</strong> to get some attention for anyone who is still locked out. There are two options in joining the revolution. First you can send me an email (grangeol666@gmail.com) with your GBT user name. I will post the names of the lost souls wherever I can to get some attention. I will not use your information for any other purpose and will delete all info when things get fixed. Second, you can open your own proxy account like this one and toss your own rocks at the upgrade developers. To open an account, you will need a Google gmail address in order to get the needed verification email (another upgrade problem). Be sure to check the gmail spam folder because verification emails tend to go there. Upgrade Victims Unite!! Let's storm the palace!!.</p>

this blog blows my mind!! guys its a FREE site, nick I'm sure if you were charging users to view this site you could afford to hire more techs to get things sorted quicker. UVRO!!! how are you a victim and what rights do you have? that's right your not a victim and you don't have rights because this is a FREE site!! I've been coming to this site for over 3 years now and the audacity of some of the users keeps astounding me. how about you donate some money to help nick out! Nick you do a great job that's mostly taken for granted.

Matt's user name is Mattmcc. If Nick could send along a password reset to me to forward, I am sure Matt would appreciate it.

@Nick18...Another lost member has wandered in from the cold. Member Mattmcc reports that he has been locked out since the upgrade and would like to get his page back. He has tried the Lost Password function and it did not work. Can you send a reset password to me and I will forward it on to him by offsite email. thanks.

lol I truly feel for you and those that have had major problems..be patient my friend ..in due course Nick will get it all done..I don't envy him and his techies hehe. hugz paparon xoxo

Nick, I still have not received reset passwords for ThePaparazzi and Voyeurpro. I know you have stated that the LOST PASSWORD function will be fixed in the future, if you are no longer resetting passwords for those locked out in the upgrade, could you please let us know when the fix is completed so I can remind them to give it try?

For Nick18, just some more information on ThePaparazzi problem with being locked out. His user name does work in the search function to find his page. However, if you go to one his videos or photo albums (for example; http://www.gayboystube.com/video/110544/young-boys-taking-a-shower), the video does come up with his user name. Clicking on his avatar takes you to his page, so it is still there somewhere in the system even though the system seems to have lost the more direct link. Just what this glitch is, I don't know, but I have seen it before with a previous, similar problem (member Iso), so it is not a completely isolated problem.

For nate88, thanks for the encouragement. I didn't think that light was needed anymore, but it appears there are still some lost souls wandering around in the dark out there (if you are one of them, see the first comment below, as usual, the full text of the original blog did not make it). Now all I have to do is get Nick's attention to get these guys fixed up (he seems a bit busy and distracted recently; you know things are not going well when you ask if anyone is having problems and 600 comments later the problems are still coming in!). And no, that light has not attracted any strange creatures (of course, everyone on this site might be considered strange by some).

Thanks for all you are doing to help others 'get back home'. You are like a light in the window on a dark rainy night. I'm proud you are a dear friend. 1 Question, has anyone mistaken that light for OTHER REASONS, LOL.

Member ThePaparazzi and member Voyeurpro have sent me emails saying they are still locked out of their profiles since the upgrade (that's 147 days ago). ThePaparazzi is special case, his profile is not found using the search function, but it does come up when you open one of his videos (Young Boys Taking a Shower; one of the site's top 10 most viewed by the way) and click on his avatar there. He reports that he has recently tried the Lost Password function and that it still does not work. It appears to work when he used it, but he does not receive the email with the temporary reset password (this is the same problem that has been around since the upgrade). If Nick can send me reset passwords for these lost souls, I will forward the passwords on to them via email.

OK, Nick one more has showed up. Member voyeurpro reports that he has been locked since the upgrade and cannot get the "lost password" function to work (because he does not use gmail). I can forward a reset to him via email. ______ My only other lost soul is Member iso; Nick said he could not find the account. It is true that, using the search function, his account does not come up. However, if open one of his videos (http://www.gayboystube.com/video/14494/indian-boys) and click on his user name there, his page does come up. It shows he has not logged in since the upgrade.

Member Starbuck reports that he has been locked out since the upgrade. OK, Nick, you probably thought you were done with this, but they keep coming in!! HINT: Fix the new account and lost password process so that the required emails go to all addresses and not just Google gmail addresses and the problem will go away. It also appears that most of these locked-out-member problems happen to members with a 1000+ days of membership.

Nick probably hopes he was done with me, but there is one more ongoing problem. I response to one of my little tirades, Nick said the new account process is supposed to be easy. Well, it is not. A brand-new member (maxlane15) managed to set up an account yesterday but could not log in because he did not get the verification email. He sent an email to me at the UVRO address (grangeol666@gmail.com) asking for help. It turns out he was using an aol email address to set up the account. It appears the site is still only sending verification emails for new accounts and lost passwords to Google gmail addressed and will not sent them to any other type of email address (it still looks like an evil Google plot to me). maxlane15 would like some help from Nick to get he account up and running. On a broader note, not allowing new members to sign up would seem like a site survival issue to me, and one that should be given a high priority. As I have told Nick before, other guys have had problems figuring out the CAPTCHA question for a new account.

I have passed on reset passwords that I got from Nick for all accounts except the iso account which remains a problem. If anyone has problems with these resets, let me know.

Nick, can we get password resets for the following members who been locked out: simonxxx, pschand, Danielosna, adstest, piledriver, iso. I would like to try to close the books on the password problems. Just send me the passwords and I will forward them on. User iso is the only odd one here, I have been able to find his account but it does not come up using the search function.

Some of these have special problems (e.g., iso) as noted below.

Nick, Which account did you reset (the locked out account g_doogie19 (which does not come up when you search for it for some reason) or his new account gdoogie18 which does not have a problem (just opened 1 day ago))?

Locked out member g_doogie19 has been able (after quite a struggle) to open a new account (gdoogie18). If the problem with his regular account is sorted out, Nick should send the reset to his new account.

As far as I know, the status of the other locked out members (shown below) remains the same (not fixed yet).
