I find board games as a good way to socialize and get to know new people. I used to participate in gay/bi men's group that had a monthly game night that was very popular. Good way to get shy people or socially anxious people to join in.

I have a huge collection of board games I love to play with friends and family.

I played many of the old board games at the cottage. monopoly, scrabble, clue, battleships, chess checkers, ramolly, crokinole, and many card games. We made sure we had plenty of card games to play for when it rained, we didn't allow TV, phones, or radio at the cottage...it was great family time, and once you dragged the kids into the games "kicking and screaming" they became vicious adversaries in the hunt for a win lol! many great memories thanks for the post hugz paparon xoxo

Spades and hearts are my favorite card games. Cribbage, Yahtzee, uno, phase 10, are some of our favorite games to play with my family and friends.

Monopoly is a great game; curiously I am yet to win even a single game of it lol

I'm 68 years old. Growing up, my friends and I would play all sorts of board games. Monopoly and Scrabble were just some of the games. Battleship was big. Checkers was played in every home. Parcheesi, Risk, Chinese checkers and Clue were also popular. We actually played games where we were face to face with each other. When I was pre-teen, my next door neighbor and I also played strip poker regularly.
