<p>I just had the most awkward phone conversation with my dad. After talking about the usual stuff, the weather, the government, his health etc. he somehow brought up how long its been since he had sex......then he says and I quote "so have you met any errr ummm acquaintance's in Sydney?" you mean a boyfriend dad? "errr well you don't really call them boyfriends do you son?"</p>

re blog Have you ever had an awkward conversation with your parents? i have but it wasnt as awkward afterall just an anticlimax me - mum i think im gay thats why i dont have a girlfriend - oh ok but you did have one once - yeh but i dont like girls - end of conversation if only she knew what went on on gbt perhaps its better that she dosent - giles

i have not. my partner had the most awkward after he came out to his parents. after the crying, yelling and being sent to his room...an hour later they come and ask if he has been sexually active. more crying, yelling and then "just what have you done?" they made him explain and then took him to a dr the next day for an examination. he was 17 btw still at home.

The question implies that you have conversations with your parents and since I don't, no. Last week I had a long conversation with my grandparents about me, they can't answer me anymore but hopefully they listened.

When I told the rents they weren't going to have any grandkids, they replied that the family name would end with me. My riposte was well then we saved the best till last! QED :))

The closest to an awkward conversation was when my parents stopped at the place we were living. It was a tiny little upstairs apartment. Basically a kitchen, very small lounge and a good sized bedroom. The bedroom was done very art deco..and my Mom and Dad were in there..and my Mom said..I love this room...I bet you two spend all your time in here....need to say, we suggested we head out for breakfast....
