Yeah some developer wanted to buy it but after he found out how much it was going to cost to do what he wanted to do to it he lost most of his backers.BUT it is still standing as of now, it is a seven story building.

It is in Fresno Ca. It really is a beautiful building Italian marble every where.it has been empty for the last thirty eight years.

Hard to believe, but in the midst of Detroit's financial woes, this one was restored. I grew up in MI, and remember seeing it when we visited relatives in Detroit. It's pretty stunning - my idea of camping.

Can you tell us where the building is located? Americans have a propensity to tear down anything that's old - if it's not making scads of money, it's almost certainly doomed. What a shame. No sense of history.
