I realize its a day late but Jordan's mom made some Pasty's last weekend and froze some for us. We are eating some for supper tonight. If you don't know what a pasty is its a meat mix of ground beef and pork and potato,carrot and rhutabage (sp?) and onion mixed together and covered in a crust. It came from Cornish miners who took them to the mines for an all in one easy to handle meal. They are delicious. Some people put ketchup on them others use brown gravy and some eat them just plain.

Southern Deep Fried chicken with mashed taters and gravy along with seasoned green beans with buttermilk biscuts. Sure beats MRE's.

I had spinach as well. Here's a good trick with cooked spinach, mix it with anchovies and olive oil. Scrumptious.

Home made beef stew and biscuits.
