I actually can't wait to do this. Of course, I will walk around with clothes on at first to check things out and if people of all sorts are actually walking around naked all out in the open, I will go naked. Of course, it will take an hour or so of me peeking out the window of the cabin to make sure everything is legit.

You won't be in public, this is a private campground. You can do as you like, as long as it doesn't offend anybody, and the guys there are not easily offended ;-)

Maybe...if I meet that one guy....but after a beer or two...I tend to get...you know...and you can't do that in public....

I'm glad to hear that you are going to give the place a try. I'm sure that you will be pleasantly surprised at how natural and comfortable you will feel. It took me a couple of beers my first time there before I began to mingle. I have a feeling that by nightfall you may end up in the hot tub and may not worry about anybody being nude.

I will go to this place for a weekend...I don't think I will be around the pavilion or hanging out with others there too much...I will go there and take a hike during the afternoon and hang out outside the cabin drinking some beer....just to see what being naked is like outside without fear of getting into trouble...maybe after a beer or two..who knows...

Those are interesting facts Andy, I never even realized that naturist communities are affiliated. Cactus Canyon may not fall into that category, it's actually a gay men's clothing optional adult resort/campground. I never saw any "offensive" sex in public there and I don't know if clothing is required in the diner. I do know that nudity is very common during the evening meal at the pavilion at Cactus Canyon. On weekends that I was there, the owners had evening cook-outs which were casual, "come as you are" friendly gatherings. Some of the regulars there would bring a dish to pass, but it wasn't required and all were welcome to eat for free. Btw, Cactus Canyon does not allow anybody under the age of 21 there. I mention this to inform any members who read this here that are 18-20, you would have to wait to check the place out. I guess that policy is in place because the owners are not able to monitor who may be drinking alcohol on their property.

All affiliate naturist communities require clothing during meals and sex is not to be offensive in public. Have a friend who lives as a nudist along with his family. My BF and I are going to visit in the Spring. Will let you know all the sweet details. HUGS!

Oh, lol, I see what you mean. I don't think you need to worry about the cleanliness of the kitchen or finding a hair in your food. I'm guessing the health department has rules about that. Here's a thought, order bacon, cooking that in the nude can be dangerous :-)

I haven't had breakfast at the diner but in the evenings many guys gather at the pavilion for a pot luck meal, most guys come nude, some don't. Walking around nude is a very natural thing, I do it at home all the time, it's much nicer to do outside. The place is not a huge gay orgy, but hook-ups do happen if both guys are into it. They have a strict "no means no" policy and everybody is very respectful. There are usually some couples and some singles there. Nobody makes a big deal about being nude, it's just a natural way to be. The cabins are nice, I rented one my first time there. I've never been in the dorm or bunkhouse but that sounds like fun. You really should go there and check it out. Like I said, you don't have to be nude, but I'm sure you will think nothing of it once you see how casual the atmosphere is.

I have been thinking about going there for a weekend. Renting a cabin, drinking some beer and get naked and walk around. I see they have a diner...do you wake up Saturday morning and go naked to the diner and have breakfast? Not sure about that one.

I have been there a few times. The website does portray the true nature of the place. You don't have to be nude but most guys stay nude. It's a really great campground owned by a gay couple, the place is huge and has really great amenities. I highly recommend this place to anybody who enjoys camping or just enjoys being nude with other nude men. No women or children are allowed, so you'll have to leave the wife and kids at home (if you have any).
