OK, someone here has to entrust me with the secret.  I have been trying to post blogs consisting of a movie/video, for like a MONTH now.  Everyone else here can do it.  I've asked before how to do it;  no responses.  I've tried every possible way.  OK, whose ass needs kissing, please let me know, thanks, that must be the secret.

(I'm completely not seeing the "Link Video" button that Chestromanci helpfully referred to, by the way, which is why I'm thinking it's an Apple/Windoze problem.)

Thanks guys but still no-go. Under Insert/Edit Video, I just see 2 tabs, Embed & General, neither one works for me. The embed code doesn't do anything when pasted in the first tab; then separately the URL doesn't do anything when pasted into the 2nd. But I'm wondering if it's because I'm on on iMac (but that alone wouldn't explain why I'm able to do just about everything else on this site. JaseChase, do you happen to be on an Apple product as well? — if so, that's the problem & the solution!

There are two tabs on the video thingy....one is for embed codes, the other tab you can just paste in a url for the video. Embed codes and url's are not the same thing. Make sure you are pasting into the right tab. That might be the problem.

i've tried several times too and can't load videos.

have you tried the link video button in create blog. you just take the url of the video and enter it into th bit where it asks for that.

I do not know how to upload videos either, I hope you are able to do so soon. But if you are really looking for asses to kiss, you should be able to find some on this site, literally ;-)

Thanks, guys. Sorry, everyone, for my attitude before.... Yeah, I remember this is the same identical situation I had a month ago, YouTube works but RedTube does not. (Actually, it was 17th of June; that's when I gave up & ...successfully... did those same steps (copy/paste the embed codes) by throwing them onto my wall.) It's strange that I can throw RedTube videos on my wall, but not onto a blog. (Using the exact same method each time.)

try using a embed link from youtube first...... see if that works

I did that...the embed code...I was preaching that to everyone a month ago...copy the embed code...it works for everyone except me! So I repeat, whose ass do I need to kiss around here? (Sorry, I'm getting belligerent tonight, hopefully for all of us this will be the last you hear from me tonight.)

When you go to create a new blog, you'll see editing options. The one on the far right is Insert/Edit Video. Click on it and a new box opens. There you need to paste the embed code for the video you want to add to the blog. Not all videos give you an embed code, but if you see a video you want to add, look for the share function, which should give you what you need.

And I love the misanthropic "links" at the bottoms of the screens. For example, the "FAQ" link goes to "bla bla bla." Not the most professional site....
