Mozilla has blocked Adobe Flash Player in its Firefox web browser
Mozilla has blocked Adobe Flash Player in its Firefox web browser, in the latest blow to the much-maligned software platform. On a support page, Mozilla said that all versions of Flash had been automatically disabled and were no longer usable.  http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2487628,00.asp

Yeah I was talking about this last night. It seems to have resolved itself and I no longer have that message about it being dangerous to activate and all of that. Guess they were still fixing the bug that allowed it to be hacked a couple of times.

I spoke too soon. On at least one website, a non-porn website if you can believe I ever visit those, I did get a 'warning', but chose Allow and Remember.

you can manually activate flash player manually on firefox . mozilla firefox seem to have `blocked` flash in an attempt to pressure adobe to make flash player safe from malware

I am not having an issue. Just wanted others to be aware that it is Mozilla's intention to keep disabling Flashplayer at this time. You can always force it to work.

Thx Thomas. Adobe has recently posted an update for Flashplayer. I'm not sure if this version is secure or not but it is the latest verion which is 18.0.0.209. You can download it here: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ (Make sure to uncheck the McCaffie box so it doesn't download and install with flashplayer)

I'm using Firefox on my Mac. For a short time I'd get a warning that Flash had been blocked. I updated my Firefox and updated my Flash, and no longer have an issue.
