Ran into a kid in London many years ago who introduced me to poppers he got from a Chemist store. We had awesome sex for many hours and I have done it a few times after that. Can´t get the stuff here in Sweden, but bought a vial a few years ago in Amsterdam when on a visit there. Poppers give you a great sex experience when looking at porn  and wanking and help when you get fucked, but I tend to get a bad headache after a session, so nowadays I do not use them (partly because they are unobtainable of course).

Just to have not a bunch of negative nancys ruining the party and giving you one-sided advice, I think that they're great. Obviously probably not good for you if used very regularly. But like many things in this world, "in moderation" I don't think anything is really dangerous to you. Of course moderation is different for different things, but I'd say not to worry, or maybe just use them less. Additionally, I agree with DanielTournier that I have had some of the best sex of my life using Poppers. Just sayin...

I went through a few phases of doing poppers regularly with a couple of different boyfriends back in my twenties and early 30s. But haven't since and wouldn't do any more. Precisely for the reasons people have mentioned. Heavy drinking can ravage your brain cells but nowhere near as on the same scale as poppers. The eye damage is a major possible effect. Not to mention your lungs. 

Saying all that, there's no doubt that as far as seriously horny sex goes, they were awesome when I did them. Generally, if someone's young and in good health, trying them out once or twice is no big deal in my opinion. They do make sex really, really horny. No inhibitions, making everything kind of animal and sleazy and dirty yet really erotic. Slowing it all down so you really feel everything deeply. Anyone who has a problem getting fucked for the first time because of tenseness or cos it hurts will find poppers get rid of that issue very fast. It's just as a regular thing that it would be crazy and health-threatening to do them.

I'm a bit surprised by  comments that drugs are not cool, mkay. I think that actually they can be. It just depends. They're no different than having a drink in that sense, depending on what the drug is, the context you use it in. Like anything else, including booze, constant use, or being addicted or even just emotionally dependent on them for escape is what can make them bad. And I've never tried things like Meth, which actually might just be flat out bad no matter what. Otherwise, weed, hash, ecstasy, cocaine (without getting carried away) have given me some of the most incredible sex of my life. So used for fun, recreation, experiencing sex in a new intense way, or just exploring your own mind, I think they are not only fine, but awesome. As long as it's contained and just for occasional fun and you get it from someone you can really trust, and do the drug with someone you trust. LSD is in a slightly different category. That's one you do have to be careful with, although if taken in the right frame of mind, at the right time of your life, with the right people, in the right conditions and environment, it can be life-expanding like nothing else, although it can be dangerous if you can't handle the way it REALLY breaks down everything you thought about reality. So even though it's amazing, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, because i wouldn't want to feel responsible if it goes wrong on them.

I read (somewhere on here I think) that poppers fuck your eyesight up and cause blindness.

Side effects are probably bleeding from the nose, dizziness, getting confused, losing memory, losing thinking skills, losing motor skills, drooling, shaking, another stroke, numbness in your nuts, finding your penis in your pants after they have been washed, unable to stay awake, hallucinations at the wrong times, nightmares, dementia, addiction, destroying your immune system, and loss of weight from vomiting because you can't keep your food down without throwing up some time afterwards.     Am I close?    Yeah.    That sounds like a good idea fun.    You should definitely do that.    It will "broaden your horizons."
