I was a drug addict. I’m clean since 1994, almost 19 years. Now I just like having a beer from time to time... Met my wife when I was in the 12 steps program (AA). Before her I had boyfriends but was on drugs most of the time... I’m bi but 70% gay... maybe I stay with her because of the kids... but I still love her! I was bi for most of my life, and always saw myself as about 70% straight and 30% gay. I met a woman, we had a beautiful boy. Then she became an alcoholic and a drug addict. Her actions destroyed the family, my finances, and me. She threatened to take the kids away (she had a daughter from a previous marriage) unless I kept financing her booze, drugs, and smokes. I had 2 jobs and I hardly saw any of it, life became pure hell with a women whose obsession with her addiction made her manipulationing me see no bounds. Then just before xmas a few years ago, I came home from work at 4am, I found her dead lying in bed; she accidently overdosed on oxycodone. When I found her I was at first relieved; the hell would be over for all of us including the one she made for herself. I have always felt guilty for feeling that way. Finding her like that has been a life changing experience, I'm just glad it wasn't one of the kids that found her. Her daughter took off later, so my son and I were all that was left. Although I have trouble forgiving the destruction she caused by her selfishness, at least I can say I have my son and he is the only good thing to come out of it. Since then I have not dated a woman, at this time some years later I'm incapable of having or wanting a relationship again. I can't even watch straight porn, and haven't since. It seems my bi ratio as I call it has changed, I'm more 95% gay now (round of applause in the background). Only lately a long distance relationship with a guy seems to be forming.
