@Thomas - an example would be this; you lust after a really cute guy, he is not interested (an absolute); you spend years pursuing him, refusing to accept the 'truth' (that he simply isn't attracted to you); you develop self pity in tidal wave proportions because "he doesn't love me"

@Nickblack...think that depends on who is defining truth and absolutes...from where I sit...there are few of either. Most of life is lived in the gray area...not in the black and white

And it never lies... this is half the problem with most people - they prefer not to accept 'truth' or 'absolutes' when it conflicts with their whims and wishes.
