Private message notifications to email

<p>I frequently receive emails telling me "someone has sent you a private message" (despite the fact that I have tried to opt out of receiving these notifications) but when I open my incoming message folder there are no new messages so I worry that I may be missing private msgs and therefore seem discourteous by apparently ignoring them ..does anyone else have this problem?</p>

I've noticed the same thing. So if anyone has sent me a private message and I haven't responded, this is why.

We all have the same problem. The messages are wrong half of the time. I get email notifications that say I have PM's but there are no PM's but friend requests....and visa versa. It's all screwed up and Nick refuses to turn the damn notifications off no matter HOW much we beg him to. Unchecking to not receive notifications doesn't work because Nick doesn't let them work!....so frustrating he can be!
