She's a Welsh singer, popular/active in the 1960s & 1970s. Paul McCartney produced her first album in 1968 (which contained the hit "Those Were the Days". This is her 2nd album, from 1971, produced by Tony Visconti who later married her. (Hopkin, not Hopkins.) My favorite song of hers was one of her many single-only songs, "Goodbye," which McCartney wrote.

Yes, it does sound a lot like country. But the music is mainly based on English (British) folk sounds. I know that English/American folk can sometimes be almost indistinguishable from American "country". I know this because I love folk music (like these songs), but I do not care for "country/western" music; but sometimes when I listen to a folk-music station, certain songs will sound quite like "traditional country".

(It was hard for me to proof-read the Spanish translation here! Because "country" comes across as país, & "folk" as "gente"!)
